IBM’s Watson supercomputer achieved fame by demolishing our greatest “Jeopardy!” champions, and the video below (created by Boo Ya Pictures) imagines a world in which Watson tries out for “American Idol.” Okay, so it’s not the most original idea, but they do a good job of weaving in the typical saccharine back story, and I was completely won over by Watson’s song choice: it made me laugh out loud, but only because laughter is my first response to terrifying things. Robots are gonna destroy humanity, y’all. Only thing we can do is drink our brains out and enjoy the Internet while we’ve got it.
