Jimmy Fallon continued his habit of mashing up rock legends with pop culture ephemera when he dressed up as Bob Dylan and sang the theme to “Charles in Charge” on “Late Night.” His Dylan impression is perhaps a small step down from his Neil Young impression, but that’s only because he IS Neil Young.
You know, I’d say we’re almost to the point where you no longer have to apologize for liking Fallon. He’s really made “Late Night” his own show — and a good one at that. I think it’s time we all let go of our anger for him breaking character on “SNL” every week. We should all try to be bigger people and show some forgiveness. Especially you, Janelle, because it’s not like I knew I had chlamydia.

I prefer the Jimmy Hendrix version.
I had a huge crush on Jimmy when I was a teen, so, while I don’t love him like I used to, it’s nice to see him succeed.
What? Don’t judge me. He’s always done solid musical parodies.
@ Patty – Having a crush on Jimmy Fallon? Oh, you better believe that’s a judging.
He’s less irritating to the point that I’ll tolerate and even give him a laugh or two, but he’s still a horrible interviewer.
Nope, cannot let it go. He almost ruined the Cow bell sketch. You want to laugh in the background fine, but he couldn’t even get his line out.
“Look at me, I’m so cute because I laugh during sketches. Teenage girls think I’m funny.” WELL GUESS WHAT JIMMY, TEENAGE GIRLS LIKE SHITTY THINGS!
Jimmy has a early letterman goofiness to some of his early show bits that I really enjoy. Craig Fergason has a more solid show start to finish, but I really think Fallon’s goofy highs are pretty damn high.
As a Baiofficianado, CiC is truly representative of his middle career, with Happy Days and his stunning portrayal of Chachi signifying the early period.
When it comes to Scott Baio, accuracy is paramount.
I’m just sayin’.
The more I see of Jimmy the more I think “What the he’ll happened to Conan?” Remember when Conan would have segments on his show that were worthy of repeated viewing?
I think Matt’s selling that impression short. That’s a pretty incredible Dylan. Granted, he sounds like 70s Dylan while looking like 60s Dylan, but that’s just me nitpicking.
I still can’t stand Fallon, mainly cause he is a massive ass kisser. When he interviewed Danny Boyle, I thought he was gonna blow him on national tv.
Charles was never in charge
