Helen Mirren’s stint as “SNL” host was largely disappointing: a poorly written episode that had trouble finding ways to shoehorn the Oscar winner into sketches. One of very few highlights was the digital short “Helen Mirren’s Magical Bosom,” which — regardless of whether you find it funny — is worth watching to see Kristen Wiig motorboat Helen Mirren.

The Hugh Jackman bit killed me.

The strip club DJ made me laugh more than I thought it really should have. Dave Grohl was perfectly cast in that part.
Do you think the Hugh Jackman sketch isn’t online because they used music from Phantom of the Opera? I’m pretty sure that’s why Gerard Butler’s monologue never made it online, either.
Anyway, the highlight for me was the return of James Carvill.

They’re real and they’re spectacular.
I thought it was an above average show. There was at least 6 or 7 good laughs on the episode, and you can’t ever go wrong with more Nasim Pedram airtime. She is an attractive woman.
The James Carville bit was hilarious and the “Black Wiggas” band name appearing in the underground music festival was awesome.

i always enjoy SNL. you know, matt, just because you’re employed to be a bitter world-weary tv blogger doesn’t mean it has to be a way of life.
