HBO has released the first 14 minutes of the highly anticipated “Game of Thrones,” and watching this has done nothing to quell my excitement for the premiere in two weeks. The video is below, and the sneak preview treats you to a first look at the “white walkers” (read: snow zombies), plus mutilated corpses and two graphic decapitations. Between this and Tim Goodman’s glowing review at The Hollywood Reporter, “Game of Thrones” promises to be TV’s must-watch series this spring. It’s like I always say, “Come for the beheadings and snow zombies, stay for the incest and dwarf jokes.”

I’m about 50 pages in to the book. I’ll finish it this weekend in Florida as my mother and my girlfriend discuss how come I’m not married yet.
Hell fucking yeah that shit looks killer.
And it really is important for those who make the judgments to impart the punishment. My dick has been absolutely naughty, and I’m about to take care of it. **shakes fist in anger toward my crotch region**
That has to be what a Scandanavian death metal video looks like.
Brutal! 2 beheading in 14 minutes!
AMC & HBO continue to fight it out for my Sunday night viewership.
(Waiting for post on The Killing)
WANT.
It’s like “Pillars of the Earth” but watchable.
Half way through the third book, which I think should be retitled, “Why the Starks can’t have nice things.”
I’m not sure I want to watch this now or wait for the show…
Best part was Arrya’s needlepoint was all effed up because she gives zero fucks.
I thought the Others (Snow Zombies – White Walkers I suppose they’re calling them)were slow moving. Moved kinda fast in the preview. I will be calling GRRM’s publisher all day to complain whilst (yes, I use proper English. Deal with it.) I update my blog until someone fixes this.
no dude the others are really fast, and fantastic fighters. if you had read the first ten pages of the first book you would know that. they are also not actually human, so they are not to be confused with the wights (undead) encountered later in the series.
To totally nerd this shit up:
The wights are seen in the preview, represented by the dead girl with the glowing blue eyes. They are the undead victims of the Others, one of which was the figure that decapitated the ranger. So both the undead and the walkers were seen in this preview.
@Chazz: No shit, but for what its worth I have gone through all the books (in like 3 weeks…work? what work?) and the story remains compelling, to say more would be to spoil.
So many headless bodies. The only way they could fuck this up is if Sean Bean becomes a traitor halfway through the miniseries
@Sarpedon: By halfway through the miniseries, Eddard being a traitor will depend on who you ask.
