Because “Jackass” star Ryan Dunn drove his Porsche off the road and died in a fiery explosion, G4 is pulling his show “Proving Ground” from its schedule. In a related story, Dunn was in a G4 show called “Proving Ground.”
But now, the rest of Ground — a show which tested out wild video game and movie stunts in the real world, a perfect fit for the always-game Dunn — may not see the light of day.
G4 tells EW that as of June 20, “the show is off the schedule … until we discuss next steps.” (It premiered last week.)
“Proving Ground” has nine episodes in the can and only got 31,000 viewers for its premiere, so G4′s decision to pull the show is respectful and sensible. They can get way more viewers if they move it to primetime and run it as part of a memorial special.

“a show which tested out wild video game and movie stunts”
How long until someone blames this death on video games then? Wednesday, tops.
That sucks because Jessica Chobot is on that show and she, is like, kinda hot and stuff.
He was really entertaining in the Jackass shows and movies, as well as, the Steve-O videos. RIP Dunn.
CGI is made for shit like this. Use it.
RIP, Dunn. I can only hope his last words were:
“I’m Ryan Dunn and this is Porsche Jump Fireball”
Well that answers my question from here: [warmingglow.uproxx.com]
Thanks. That show actually looked interesting too.
That is one majestic beard.
Did that fucker always have a cigarette in his mouth or only in still pictures?
@mistertwister On the plus side cancer didn’t kill him.
Cancer didn’t kill him, MattK, but he did die from smoking.
Ryan has still had a better year than Adam Dunn. Start hitting, you asshole.
+1 Schmoove.
WTF? They pulled his show cuase he died thats bullshit
@Mr. F: I think his last words were “This is gonna suck…”
Reality show….crap I thought he was acting. I didn’t think people were actually that dumb
@Rich Mahogany: I think his last words were “This i…”
He was, after all, driving a Porsche.
