Jon Benjamin Has a Van (Comedy Central) — Series premiere. I love Benjamin — who voices the title characters in both “Archer” and ‘Bob’s Burgers” — but I’ve yet to see any previews from this fake investigative reporting show that make it look worthwhile (see a preview clip below). Alan Sepinwall’s damning review says that it’s “one sketch after another built around a single joke, stretched past the point where even ‘SNL’ might feel pangs of comedy writer’s remorse.” Ouch.
Tosh.0 (Comedy Central) — Freshly renewed for a fourth season, Tosh gives the Cheerleader Fail Girls a Web Redemption (I remember posting the original clip on With Leather years ago). Expect tonight’s show to be raunchier than usual; Tosh just tweeted that he’s still fighting to get tonight’s episode on air because “Comedy Central doesn’t think you’re mature enough to learn how to eat pussy.”
Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family) — Season premiere. Girls talk about makeup or whatever.
HawthoRNe (TNT) — Season premiere. Marc Anthony joins the cast as a series regular, making this the top show on television for spouses of actual stars.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King (ABC Family) — Series premiere. Totally serious description from Yahoo: “This new supernatural teen drama introduces us to an ancient race of superpowered cat people…” It goes on from there, but I think that’s all the information anybody needs.

Was surprised to see H Jon in Norm’s spot, that’s not good for business, ummm hope Norm’s show is ok
I’d watch a show where Jon Benjamin did nothing but read leaf blower manuals aloud, so I’ll probably tune into this one at least a few times.
You know, I’m usually pretty proud of the absurdity of my TV pitch posts. But then I read something like, “This new supernatural teen drama introduces us to an ancient race of superpowered cat people…” and it makes me wonder why I even bother.
Is Marc Anthony playing Death… or near death? The mind boggles.
@No Heddard Stark ,
This is just a move on Comedy Central’s part to get people to watch the show at least once. New shows usually follow a strong lead-in (none better on CC than Tosh.O). They know people are watching Tosh and hope we are too lazy to change the channel. Also see – Mr. Sunshine and Happy Endings both following Modern Family when they premiered.
Although you never know with Comedy Central, nothing seems to last there except Tosh and South Park (and hopefully Workaholics).
Also, without the H, his show is doomed.
USA USA USA
That’s Coach Mcguirk and the can of peas from Wet Hot American Summer to you, Mister.
When they show Jon Benjamin on-screen while talking, I’m OK. But whenever it’s just his voice, I can’t help but think it’s Archer.
If only “The Nine Lives of Chloe King” had an all feline cast, I’d be so in.
Sadly, I’m betting JBHV isn’t as funny as JCVD was.
I want to rape his voice. That is all.
Silly ABC Family, you can’t make cat people cool.
I am sorry; I CANNOT reconcile Jon Benjamin’s voice with his face. I tried, but just closed my eyes and imagined Archer saying those thing with Lana quietly (for once) undressing near the night stand.
DUH and/or Hello!
JBHV had me guffawing, and I rarely do that at a post-South Park time slot. It’s like the Daily Show or Colbert Report without the necessity for politics, gossip, celebrities, news, facts or more than 4 people.
