Embedded below is a video with the promos that Melissa McCarthy recorded with Andy Samberg for her “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig this weekend. Ordinarily I don’t post these because the 30-second commercial on the NBC video embed is absolute murder to my patience, but in this case I think it was worth it. I expect McCarthy to be the kind of host that goes all out to elevate underwhelming sketches. She’s a great comic actress, and I’m not just saying that because she’s fat.

Fat hosts on SNL were SO much fatter in MY favorite era than they are now!
Actually looking forward to this- but I’ve seen the show squander what seemed like a slam dunk host before I won’t get my hopes up too much.
Oh and fuck you NBC for putting a commercial in front of what is basically a commercial to begin with.
