After mailing in the “Game of Thrones” teaser, HBO stepped up their game with this tease for the horse racing drama “Luck” (video below), which is scheduled to debut in early 2012. Check out the pedigree: directed by Michael Mann, created by David Milch (“Deadwood”), starring Dustin Hoffmann and Nick Nolte, and featuring terrific supporting actors like Dennis Farina. The only way this could possibly be a disappointment is if none of the horses die.

At least one horse has to be named Duncan.
Dammit. I was working on an OTB racing drama starring Abe Vigoda, Brian Doyle-Murray, and the corpse of Jack Elam.
Nice shoes, asshole.
Horse racing? Sarah Jessica Parker is back on HBO?
The still also steals from Bursy’s “Suck For Luck” contest.
Sorry Burnsy; I omitted your “n”.
It’s good to see the cast of Entourage getting the jockey roles. I personally would have put them down.
Was that Kenny Rogers?!
Aww it was just Nick Nolte. I guess the Gambler is sitting this one out.
hey, that’s the sign for good luck bar.
You don’t need to make a fancy trailer for GoT, it just got all the free publicity from the Emmys.
Milch? Somebody’s gettin called a cocksucka’ on this show…I can just feel it coming.
How did Elijah Wood not get casted in this?
Man o’ man, fuck horses
