Wilson Phillips is BACK, people. Earlier this year, the ’90s pop group made a charming appearance in Bridesmaids, Chynna Phillips will be on this season of “Dancing with the Stars,” and now the TV Guide Network will make a reality show about the group’s comeback attempt.
The cable network has ordered a pilot for a show starring the band’s members — sisters Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson and best friend Chynna Phillips — as they juggle husbands and children in a quest to get back on top of the charts, a feat that challenges their friendship and sisterhood. [Deadline]
The pilot is slated to air “later this year,” a maddeningly unspecific amount of time for us Wilson Phillips fans to wait. But we can do this together. We just have to hold on for one more day. Yeah, I know that there is pain, but you hold on for one more day, and you break free right from the chains.
SOMEDAY SOMEBODY’S GONNA MAKE YOU WANNA TURN AROUND AND SAY GOODB– oh God, it’s in my head. There goes the rest of my day.
Did you know that this video has 124 “dislikes” on YouTube. Those people are MONSTERS.

This is chilling in the bad way. Also, didn’t the fat one lose weight for a tv talk show or some tv thing?
Matt, sounds like “You’re in Love” with Wilson Phillips.
A young Chynna Phillips and Wendy Williams singing on the beach is boner town until Carnie Wilson shows up? She ruined everything!
Dammit, I meant Wendy Wilson, not Williams. I must have been thinking of Wendy O’Williams from the Plasmatics for some very odd reason.
Fact: A couple weeks ago I made a simple joke in passing about the Debbie Gibson song “Foolish Beat.” I had it stuck in my head for the next six days. SIX. DAYS.
Longest I’ve ever had a song stuck in my head: ten days of “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall & Oates. I won’t lie, I contemplated suicide.
Oh, Chynna Phillips (heart swoons)
Exactly what are they coming back to?
@UU – although an image of Wendy Williams running around on a beach trying to sing is rather amusing.
@ Matt – congrats, by the way, on breaking the $20,000 mark in your Fight Gone Bad fundraising. Does it make me a terrible person that I’m scared of you reaching $30,000 because the faux denim boxer briefs are terrifying?
Which one wore the electrical tape on her nipples…?
It challenges their sisterhood?
How can it do that?
Hooooooooooooooold Onnnnnnnnnn!
Rose Byrne is perfection
Hey, so is this song about a woman that’s getting beaten by her husband/boyfriend and they’re telling her to stick it out?
Chynna Phillips was second only to Debbie Gibson on my ’80s/early ’90s list of celebs that I’d beat a homeless man to death to bone.
Just in case you have no life, no friends, and no goals, this is on.
@Squabbler: You and me both,dude.
