Here’s the first minute of Sunday’s “Breaking Bad” finale via HitFix. If you don’t watch the show, nothing here will make much sense. If you do watch it, there aren’t any huge plot points given away, but still: OH MY GOD SO TENSE!!! AHHHHHH WHO’S GOING TO DIE????? *breathes into paper bag*
Seriously, I’m not as in love with “Breaking Bad” as most TV snobs are, but I can’t deny that no other show even comes close to building tension the way that “Breaking Bad” does. It’s terrible for my blood pressure. AMC better pay my hospital bills when I have a heart attack on Sunday.

Hank poisoned Brock. Not with ricin but I guarantee he did it with something less lethal to get Jesse back on his side. God I love that asshole.
Goddammit not Hank but Walter. Now THAT would be a twist.
Walt’s (the writers are) not thinking. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. He should contact whatever cartel would be filling the void Gus created down there a couple of episodes ago, and ask for help. Move the family to Mexico, cook for the cartel, live out his remaining lung-cancered days on the beach.
Maybe that’s how they’ll end the show…after Hank figures out who Eisenberg is.
Love this show.
Cranston sketched out the last three scenes on the Maron podcast this morning. Clear as mud, more geeked than ever.
Walt never had the chance to poison the kid. I mean, he did show up at Jessie’s house that night but he didn’t even come inside, Jessie forced him out the door and they had a brief argument on the front lawn. If they ever do give us an explanation I’m betting it’s going to be as simple as the kid stealing a cigarette from Jessie’s pack to try smoking.
@Deezy: Just as likely, however Gillian as stated he wants Walt to be viewed as a supervillian by the end of the series. I think Fat Huell lifted the cigs from Jesse via patdown, Walt switched out the ricin cig, broke in, poisoned Brock’s lunch with some chemistry drug, yadda yadda. Although your scenario is equally plausible. I just think we’re SUPPOSED to hate Walt.
Brock has a simple progressive flu. Jesse’s mentioning Ricin dwarfs the meth issues and brings in Homeland Security.
*ducks, runs from room*
@LastTexansFan: Wow, you thought this out. So many possible twists.
I have to say I thought it was kind of cheesy how the ep. ended last Sunday. I love the build up to the finale, but that was a bit too convenient.
ON a completely different note, If you like Russian Dolls, my cable guide says they are airing 5 eps. back to back tomorrow morning on Lifetime starting at 8am. Which is weird because normally it’s on THURS nights and also the back to back programming. To the best of my knowledge, Lifetime hasn’t even aired any reruns of the show yet.
@dachshund: I think Gus picked up on something Jesse said (“poisoned”). He knew something was up because if it was Gus, and Gus did poison Brock, then Jesse should have already killed Walt, since he didn’t, he knew Walt was using Jesse again.
God I love this show.
@LastTexansFan: DUDE, your analysis is freaking me out. I think you can write BB fan fic!
I don’t think you can get poisoned by ricin while smoking it. It has to be broken out of the cannister holding it and then placed into food or drink. If the kid lit the cigarette, the heat would melt the cannister and cause the cigarette to be unsmokable.
That’s my opinion anyway, and I’m probably wrong as usual.
The worst thing about this video is that it ended. I should have never watched that because now I hate that it’s not Sunday more than ever.
This is my personal theory:
Walt (through other people) poisoned Brock with the ricin cigarette. He’s seen spinning the gun at his house, then appears to have a moment of realization. My theory posits that Walt contacts SAUL (who knows the location of Brock’s house after dropping money off to Andrea for Jesse) to deliver the poison to Brock, explaining it as the only way to save both their skins (probably by convincing Saul that Gus was on to him and would come for him next after killing Walt). Saul calls Jesse to come pick up his money as a cover for stealing the cigarette, which Huell does during his patdown when Jesse comes to Saul’s office. Saul explains to Jesse that he is leaving dodge forever (because he’s about to poison a freaking kid), gives Jesse his money, then drives to Brock and Andrea’s before ditching ABQ
I think Skyler is gonna come out of this episode (or next season) just as bad-ass. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out she is playing some behind the scenes shit in this. I think she would kill Hank herself if it came down to it.
I think it’s going to simply turn out that Brock smuggled the ricin cig to smoke and Jesse went ballistic for nothing.
I also think the season will end with Gus dead and Walt and Jesse taking his place at the top of the Southwestern Meth Chain, with Mike returning from Mexico just in time to not be able to stop them but able to align with them and assist with the changeover.
