Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that the actor/comedian — currently between seasons of his FX comedy, Louie — will reprise his role as Leslie’s former police officer beau Dave Sanderson in an early ’12 episode.
The extremely laid back, mild-mannered character was last seen in Season 2 when he took a job in San Diego.
Dave’s return is expected to create some romantic tension for Leslie (Amy Poehler) and Ben (Adam Scott), but c’mon: let’s not kid ourselves about the choice between Adam Scott and Louis C.K. as love interests. On a scale of 1 to Olyphant, Adam Scott is a solid 7, and Louis’s somewhere to the left of zero.

Yes, Chazz, it’s weird. I’d like to say I repsect the opinions of others, but in this case, she’s just wrong. Raylan/Olyphant gives me the vapors – in the best possible way.

I just listened to the Poehler WFT podcast last week on a work trip and she said the Louie just loved the cop uniform and would wear it all the time on set. That still makes me laugh thinking about it.

I loved Louis in his first stint. He had the best talking heads.
That said, the best stand-up comedian alive is a guy called Daniel Kitson. He’s doing a run of his latest story show in NY in Jan, if you can, go (chances are he’d also be doing Eugene Mirman’s Pretty Good Friends when he is in town too) .
