Suburgatory/The Middle/Modern Family/Happy Endings (ABC) — ABC is the only network running new airings of their regular shows, and from 8 to 10 EST, they’re the best thing going. Also, has anyone else picked up on the wildly great sexual chemistry between Jeremy Sisto and Jane Levy on “Suburgatory”? Daniel Fienberg pointed it out on the Hitfix podcast last month and it’s all I can ever think of now. There’s probably a shippers tumblr set up for them already.
The Orange Bowl (ESPN) — West Virginia vs. Clemson, if you’re into that sort of thing, and by “that sort of thing,” I mean: Halftime marching bands.
Mobbed (Fox) — A show about flash mobs hosted by Howie Mandel? What did the world do to deserve this? THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT TEBOW.
Top Chef: Texas (Bravo) — So, I was wondering why everything during this cycle was so insistently Texan, and then I found out that in order to film in Texas, the producers had to sign a contract with the state and agree to all sorts of requirements that the state be heavily featured and that “Texas” be included in this season’s title.
I Get that a Lot (CBS) — I have never heard of this show, but apparently it’s the fourth airing of it. It features celebrities doing “regular” jobs, and tonight’s episode includes Pamela Anderson, Jerry Springer, Dr. Drew, and Ty Pennington, three of whom could actually use a “regular” job.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS — Brian Williams is on Letterman, Kelsey Grammer is on Kimmel, Tracey Morgan is on Leno, and Ed Burns is on Fallon.

-1 for making fun of College Football as a whole instead of the pathetic Big East and slightly less pathetic ACC specifically.

They’re only 15 years apart (he’s 37, she’s 22) so it definitely makes sense.
Which three could use a regular job Dustin?! You better not be insinuating that Jerry Springer is less than a fine, upstanding, hard-working American, goddammit.
The lady and I have been saying since this show started that Sisto and the girl are totally fucking. And it makes watching the show awkward. Sexy, but awkward.
Same with Dexter, well minus the sexy (Jennifer Carpenter doesn’t do it for me). That made the otherwise incredibly boring sub plots this season totally watchable – knowing that Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall were married, then got divorced after he cheated on her with Julia Stiles last season.
Same awkward emotions with Suburgatory.
MCMF, I read a few of the Dexter books and Deb is described as being curvaceous, buxom, voluptuous etc, so I was puzzled when they decided to cast a pipe cleaner with perpetual Derp face.
Don’t forget the Stan Laurel nose.
I like Carpenter, and her character was great the first few seasons. Really improved from being a foul mouth idiot to actually showing some range.
I stopped watching “Dexter” this season as the awful storylines became too much to bear, but Carpenter was not a weak point. I did enjoy watching them spend lots of scenes together while they go through a divorce off screen, but apparently the two are best friends who decided that marriage wasn’t for them.
Whether or not that’s true, I don’t know.
Anyone else think she looks like Britta’s sister? (I see a spin-off!)
I’m seeing the resemblance, and a ginger Britta is a Britta that I can get behind, ifyouknowwhatImeanandIthinkyoudo.
You’re the worst
Are we not doing barely veiled sexual innuendo anymore?
She even acts the same way as Britta. I like that.
I could make my fifth post on the subject of Billy and Claire redux, but even I’m getting creeped out. 2011 wasn’t nearly as incest friendly as 2012 promises to be.
*reads Mobbed bit*
Oh I see, you’re just making up shows for these summaries now.
Girls who have good relationships with their dads are weird to me. It always seems intimate and creepy.
My wife will scratch her dad’s head and it has ALWAYS made me uncomfortable. It’s just a weird intimate thing.
What is with Jeremy Sisto and creepy incestuous chemistry. I’m still trying to get over the weird sexual tension between him and Brenda in Six Feet Under.
Was that really “tension”? Wasn’t it “he wanted to rape her?”
no wonder this season of Top Chef is terrible….
I bailed on “Suburgatory” once I realized the girl was basically trying to be Emma Stone in “Easy A,” but it looks like I’m about to start watching again out of morbid curiosity.
I actually really enjoy Suburgatory, perhaps against my better judgment. But I mentioned to my mom when I first saw it that the show confused me because there is way too much sexual tension between them for them to play father/daughter. I’m really glad that people besides me have noticed that. Now…I guess I should probably stop enjoying the show?
