The cold winds are rising, but you can wrap yourself tightly in two full minutes of new footage from the upcoming season two of “Game of Thrones.” There’s baby dragons, violence, boobs, cities burning, and Dinklage. Who will take the Iron Throne? The War of Five Kings. The Starks v. Lannisters to the death. No. TO THE PAIN.
Bring it, George. Make it rain fire, you crazy old coot.

Sucks it is still 5 weeks away. Also, I thought Stannis had a beard in the previous trailers? He has one in the books.
It’s a damned shame this show doesn’t have enough viewers to justify spending $150 million filming the Battle of the Blackwater and releasing it in movie theaters. I’d gladly pay $15 to see that on the big screen.
Curious to see how they pull it off, but I agree. I’d have no problem paying that to see it on a big screen.
It’s one of the few battles Martin goes into any detail on (and even then its sparse) so hopefully they can devote enough resources to match expectations.
I think what makes these books so adaptable is that they often deal with the leading up to and aftermath of a large conflict without going into detail on the battle itself.
From what has transpired from interviews, the 9th episode should be ALL Battle of Blackwater, it’s not a feature film, but that’s pretty good.
But curious too about how they will pull it off, so many boats and so many fires are described in the books, that it seems like it would be the most expensive episode of TV history, if only for CGI costs, if they did it full scale.
Considering the current record-holder for the most expensive episode of TV ever is Terra Nova, the Blackwater battle HAS to beat it.
GRRM is writing that episode, FYI. In the interview I read he also said that GoT has a smaller budget than Rome did, which doesn’t seem like it makes a ton of sense at this point. Hopefully that’ll change for the later seasons…
That little shit Renly looks awful confident in that stupid crown.
I had to watch that twice and now I can’t leave my desk for a while.
If the opening seen is anything like the book we’ll learn how well Carice Van Houten plays Melisandre.
Needs more unconvinced Dillon from Predator saying “Fucking Lizard.” every time Dany threatens people with her baby dragons.
+1MM
When my dragons are grown, we will lay waste to cities and burn armies to the ground!
Bitch, please.
I hate her so much…
Whoa, hating her? Didn’t know people thought that.
Well yeah, she’s my least favorite POV character in the books, and one of my least favorite all around. She’s so self-entitled, makes terrible decisions, and is just overall super annoying. She has a couple badass moments, but that doesnt redeem all the other terrible decisions she makes (which I can’t go into detail without spoiling non-book readers).
but, but… the boobs?
HODOR HODOR. HODOR!
HODOR?
HBO posted a HD 720p version now for our viewing pleasure, yay!
