I thought the “Like a Prayer” set of Madonna’s SuperBowl halftime show was cool until the world peace part. It’s just not possible if Madonna continues to make music.

Madonna wasn’t terrible so much as boring. Except for her new single, which suuuuucks. “Gimme All Your Luvin?”
It’s really, really bad. Like 50-something-trying-to-sound-like-an-18-year-old-cheerleader bad, which makes the music video for it all the worse. I love Nicki and MIA, however, so I’ll probably still listen to it, at least once more.
Right? It sounded like a dance remix of that Avril Lavigne song with the chanting. She even refered to herself as “not that kinda’ girl,” which is like saying she’s not a velociraptor.
Also, it’s the Super Bowl, not a Madonna concert. Play the songs we know and like already. I mean, the “Like a Prayer” part was okay, because at least that’s a good song and Cee-Lo was there just bein’ Cee-Lo and wearin’ sparkles.

Oh, and I love that the NBC promo had more Community than Whitney and Chelsea combined. It was a great promo in general, too. I’ve had “Brotherhood of Man” stuck in my head all day.
