Some Dastardly Person Set Off A Fire Alarm Early Sunday Morning In The Panthers’ Hotel

The Carolina Panthers are in Seattle for a huge matchup with the Seahawks on Sunday. One thing that you would assume that the Panthers want to do before the game is get plenty of rest and sleep comfortably in their hotel the night before, because playing football while you’re tired seems like it’s a really tough thing to do.

Someone at the team’s hotel, however, decided that the Panthers needed an early morning wake up call. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, someone pulled the fire alarm at the team’s hotel, something that was confirmed by the Panthers on their Twitter account.

The good news for the Panthers is that this entire ordeal was over in about 20 minutes. The team put out a statement saying that the fire alarm was pulled at 5:40 a.m., and by 6, everyone was back inside safely.

One Carolina player thinks that there may be shenanigans afoot. Veteran quarterback Derek Anderson didn’t think that it was a coincidence that the fire alarms went off on the floors where the team is staying. Anderson also reacted the exact same way that you would expect a person to react if a fire alarm woke them up at the crack of dawn.

Carolina and Seattle will square off on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. EST.
