Survivor (CBS) — The title of tonight’s episode is, “A Bunch of Idiots.” There has never been a more appropriate title for this season of “Survivor.”
The Middle/Suburgatory/Modern Family/Happy Endings (ABC) — They’re all back tonight, but per usual, “Happy Endings” is the one to watch. In tonight’s episode, the gang attempts to find a restaurant where one of them hasn’t been banned or will run into an ex. Dollars to donuts, they settle for Dave’s meat truck. Meanwhile, “Modern Family” continues to stunt cast in lieu of new plotlines. Tonight’s episode will feature Bobby Cannavale (The Station Agent) and Ellen Barkin.
Psych (USA Network) — Anyone ever wonder what James Roday did before “Psych” came along? He was in The Dukes of Hazzard movie, that’s what.
South Park (Comedy Central) — (SEASON PREMIERE) “South Park,” entering its 16th season, is only 7 seasons behind “The Simpsons,” but still as good as eighth season “The Simpsons.” What sacred cow will the gang molest tonight? Ummm, leaving the toilet seat up. Scratch what I said about “South Park” still being fresh.
NCAA Basketball: California vs. South Florida (TruTV) — The NCAA Tournament kicks off tonight. Is the play-in game really on TruTV? Does anyone watch TruTV? Does anyone know where TruTV is on their cable lineup?
LATE NIGHT LISTINGS: Dave’s got Martin Short, Leno has Charming Potato and Drew Brees, Kimmmel has Jonah Hill, Ferguson has … Regis?, and Fallon has Tim Tebow. “The Daily Show” also has Rachel Weisz on what should be a good election episode.

James Roday & Maggie Lawson appeared together in the Gerard Butler masterpiece that is Gamer. Although, it may have been after Psych started since I knew who they were. Nevermind. Carry on.
/watches terrible, terrible movies
He also was the messenger in Beerfest who gave the Germans the beer the American team was making. This lead to the Germans stuffing tubes in him and pumping beer straight in. If my memory serves me correctly.
Camera man in Showtime!
You’re harsh with South Park, they have the occasional off episode, and some that still resort too poop humor (which I’m fine with honestly, when it’s not only that and not all the time). But they still manage to churn out at least a brilliant half of episodes each season, and are the best social satire scripted television. (by that I meant outside of Stewart/Colbert, but I guess they’re kind of scripted too, and they’re not really live, but you know what I mean)
Anyways, SOUTH PARK IS BACK, YAY !!
I think South Park gets better as it goes. I can’t even believe that I found the early seasons funny because they are as hard to watch as the more recent Simpsons’ seasons.
On that note, I want to know why my local Fox station decides to only play the past five or six seasons of The Simpsons and not re-run from the cream of the crop early episodes. Or just start from the beginning even. If I see that damn 90s episode one more time…
One of the major problems with the last few years (ok, decade) of “The Simpsons” is that there’s an obvious and desperate need for the writers/producers to feel relevant. Too many of the jokes are spent trying to remind us that they know stuff that happened in the last year at the expense of the story or characters making sense. With “South Park” a lot of the reduction in what could be funny is a desperation to make the story make sense which I think results in a lot of endings marking an incomplete story being a “Fuck it, we gotta ship this thing” result from their schedule.
I like Happy Endings, but I stare at Sophia Vergara with such intent that plot, character and subtext in Modern Family are lost on me.
Anyone ever wonder what James Roday did before “Psych” came along? He was in The Dukes of Hazzard movie, that’s what.
And before that, he was the high-school nemesis to a friend of mine.
I am quite jealous of that friend.
He was also the college classmate of mine. As far as what he did before Psych? At least two of our five female classmates.
Lucky
I think TruTV is in the block with the news channels?
Really, I have no idea. But I’ll go (and stress drink) where the March Madness goes.
Tonight’s South Park is actually supposed to be lambasting the TSA. I don’t know if that’s a sacred cow or not but they certainly deserve a little (lot) pop culture scrutiny.
I’ll be THAT GUY and let you know that the NCAA tournament technically started yesterday with BYU/Iona and Western Kentucky/Mississippi Valley State. The games tonight are equally as meaningless (although VCU might beg to differ).
Even though for me, it doesn’t start until tomorrow afternoon when I’m watching it from my work computer in lieu of productivity.
Is Charming Potato an actor or is it a real potato, because I can see Ol’ Big Chin actually interview a vegetable
cmon, this season of Survivor is not THAT bad. First six episodes are usually a wash.
Roday was also in the criminally underrated and unknown Rolling Kansas.
Am I wrong in thinking Modern Family is already on the FAST decline? I always look forward more to Happy Endings anyway. But now its like if I miss an ep of Modern Family, its just not a big deal anymore.
SP goofing on the TSA was awesome, because seriously fuck the TSA and the majority of flunkees who work for them.
