Yesterday it was announced that Lindsay Lohan will continue her attempted comeback by portraying screen legend Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime Original Movie titled Liz & Dick. Or maybe she’s restarting her comeback. Did “Saturday Night Live” and Playboy count? Were those part of her “comeback,” or more evidence of her shameful downward spiral? I’m terrible at figuring that stuff out. Anyway, whatever, great, right? She was really good in Mean Girls way back when, so maybe this is a positive step for her. So I guess we can just move along and focus somet-[someone hands Rosie O'Donnell a microphone for some reason]…
Rosie O’Donnell is has taken a stand on Lindsay Lohan staring in the new Liz Taylor biopic. Appearing on NBC, the outspoken former talk show host said Lohan isn’t “capable” of playing Taylor because her personal life is a disaster.
While O’Donnell feels “very sorry for her” she says the troubled starlet did her last good piece of acting when “she was sixteen.” Noting that Lohan has had trouble making in on the big screen since then, O’Donnell proceeded to attack her recent performance on “Saturday Night Live.” Lohan “was out and not in rehearsal. I think she’s not in a place to work.”
When TV pundit Donny Deutsch chimed in to say that Lohan is “our generation’s Elizabeth Taylor”, O’Donnell pounced on him. “You’re out of your mind! You’re a crackhead! The last thing she did good she was sixteen.” [ABC]
So, to recap: Lindsay Lohan, who is ostensibly an actress, got a job acting. In response, Rosie O’Donnell threw in her two cents on the matter by psychoanalyzing someone she doesn’t know and declaring them unfit to work because she doesn’t think someone with “personal problems” should be allowed to play Elizabeth Taylor in some dumb Lifetime movie. Then someone whose name is apparently Donny Deutsch said something bonkers and Rosie yelled at him and called him a crackhead.
[rubs temples]
You know what? Here’s the “Jingle Bell Rock” scene from Mean Girls.

Thanks for the mind/eye bleach at the end. It really helped.
Man, I love Neil Flynn. His reaction shot in this is the best.
Jan Itor is not prolific enough. Kimball!
And now, let’s hear my mailman’s take on this
“Lohan isn’t “capable” of playing Taylor because her personal life is a disaster.”
Taylor had something like 8 husbands, was a chain smoker, and was addicted to pain killers. So in other words Lohan is perfectly capable of playing Taylor.
Also, Rosie O’Donnell is the worst.
Perfectly summed up. +rhodes
The only thing that could make this story any better is if they gave the role of Sir Richard Burton to Doug Hutchison.
I think we all felt the same way when we heard Rosie was picked to play Betty Rubble.
Word.
+2
The starlet power in that clip is incredible. Lacey Chabert should be in more things. Strike that. Lacey Chabert should be in everything. Strike that as well. She should be in nothing…yes, I want to see her in nothing at all.
Mean Girls is much better than I remember it. Assuming it’s 90 minutes of that clip.
Stop trying to make Lindsay’s comeback happen! It’s not going to happen!
See, it makes perfect sense that Lindsay’s next movie includes the words “& Dick” in the title, but I didn’t expect it would be the kind of film that would be shown on Lifetime. Or on any TV station, for that matter.
And that should be an E not an I in the first word of the title.
*applauds self*
Simply smashing.
New fortune cookie game. In all sentences containing ‘Lindsay Lohan”:
s/(Lindsay Lohan)/$1 & Dick/
I think what I got out of this article the most was “What the hell ever happened to Lacey Chabert?”
Who the hell is Donny Deutsch and why is someone that stupid allowed on tv? When you look like an idiot compared to Rosie Odonnell, that’s your cue to fire up the old Chevy and close the garage door.
It’s almost cruel to remind everyone of what she used to be.
