Funny or Die has reunited a slew of cast members from “The Wire,” including Michael K. Williams (Omar), Andre Royo (Bubbles), Felicia Pearson (Snoop), and Larry Gilliard Jr. (D’Angelo Barksdale), to star in “The Wire: The Musical,” which allows us to “experience America’s failing drug war through the magic of song!” Just the way David Simon intended. I think my favorite thing about it is Omar’s Tom Waits-after-a-particularly-rough-night singing voice, or maybe Omar dancing, or maybe family-friendly fake McNulty saying, “What the frick did I do?” or maybe D’Angelo explaining that chess is a metaphor for drug deals, or maybe Snoop’s white dress, or maybe “Faizon Love as Stringer Bell.” Yeah, it’s definitely “Faizon Love as Stringer Bell.”

Is it possible for a 4 minute internet video to win a Nobel Prize?
Oh wow, people actually like this? I must be losing touch with what’s cool.
Yeah, it’s a decent idea, but the execution … meh.
If you don’t like Omar Little dancing, I weep for you.
I feel a little dead inside now.
Yeah, this is pretty outstanding. I want a full version with at least 80 more minutes of Fake McNulty.
How the hell is Felicia Pearson not in jail after her drug bust last year?
Not sure but she cleans up pretty nice considering.
I just had a wiregasm
Faizon Love’s turn as Big Worm in Friday was no doubt a seminal influence on the drug game portrayed on The Wire, so it’s fitting that he’s Stringer Bell.

Whatup, Big Perm!
Does it top the unintentional hilarity of the safe sex video?
David Simon’s offical comment: “I woke up this morning to an email from Michael K. Williams, with this video linked. Hilarious. Just great. Felecia’s turn alone is worth the time. Ya hair look good, Snoop. Someone hand me a burner and Sondheim’s number.”
