If you wanna boycott a show created by Ryan Murphy, the sanctimonious mind behind Nip/Tuck and Glee, all the power to you — at least make it for a good reason, like the fact that his characters are achingly inconsistent and if you don’t agree with him, you hate the arts and puppies and babies and children trying to learn. What’s a bad reason to boycott a Ryan Murphy show? Because it features gay characters.
One Million Moms, the loneliest and bitterest of organizations, last heard whining about an Oreo, are now protesting Murphy’s new show, NBC’s The New Normal, about a gay male couple having a child via surrogate.
NBC is using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage. These things are harmful to our society, and this program is damaging to our culture.
Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. NBC’s “The New Normal” is attempting to desensitize America and our children. It is the opposite of how families are designed and created. You cannot recreate the biological wheel. (Via)
Having to watch Puck warble his way through “School’s Out” on Glee is worse than anything The New Normal could throw our away. In fact, Normal‘s premise is only the 34,372th most offensive thing Murphy has ever done, somewhere between casting Rosie O’Donnell on Nip/Tuck and once saying, “You can make fun of Glee all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music.” That’s a reason to boycott Ryan Murphy.

Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman.
Are these the same millions of Americans that watch “Modern Family” and get it nominated for every award ever?
Fuck you, One Million Bigoted Moms, for making the sensible thing to do be defend a Ryan Murphy show.
All that needs to be known about One Million Moms is that they’re so insane that Bill O’Reilly of all people, once sided with a gay woman (Ellen) and called them ridiculous.
So, where can I protest hateful jerks having kids?
I hope that their next boycott is for Animal Practice promoting bestiality.
Hate of Ryan Murphy conflicting with hate of bigoted group.
Millions of Americans strongly believe that Jeff Dunham’s ventriloquist act is the funniest thing around.
That don’t make it so either.
Much like how an organization can call itself “One Million Moms” but only have about 40,000 shitheads signed up for it.
I guess Forty Thousand Maude Flanderses didn’t have the right ring to it.
MMMMmmmm that’s good menopause.
Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman.
And roughly the same number of millions of Americans believes the opposite.
Okay, maybe not the opposite, but you get the idea.
lol no, every state its came up in got voted down every time. also for roughly 1 percent of the population, gays are certainly over represented in televison
I’m a little late on this, but you’re saying gay marriage isn’t legal anywhere? Not even say, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Iowa, New York and New Hampshire?
Look at the national polls. It’s split pretty much right down the middle.
Reminds me of the time the PMRC defeated all those dirty, offensive rock & roll groups with their boycotts and protests. Music is so clean and pure now!
