Paul Rudd Performs A Love Song With Reggie Watts From 'Comedy Bang! Bang!,' Continues To Be The Best

One of my favorite things the Comedy Bang! Bang! television show has done so far is their “Reggie Makes Music” series of clips, featuring bandleader Reggie Watts performing an impromptu song with a guest. We posted the one he did with Jon Hamm a while back, where the Mad Men star rapped about Taxi, but he’s also done them with frequent podcast guests Casey Wilson (Happy Endings) and Andy Daly (Eastbound & Down). In the most recent clip, Reggie welcomes All Time Number One Best Guy Around Paul Rudd, and the two perform a tender love song that briefly takes an incredibly dark turn. It’s great, but…

This is hard for me, guys. Don’t get me wrong, I think the video is funny. And, I mean, sure, I’ll always post a video of Paul Rudd when I can justify it as TV-related (big ups to the Parks & Rec people for casting him as Bobby Newport and making that easier, btw), but, it’s just … I …

JUST BE MY FRIEND ALREADY, PAUL. GEEZ. YOU SEEM FUNNY AND NICE AND I THINK WE WOULD GET ALONG VERY WELL. LET’S HANG OUT. WE COULD GO TO A BASEBALL GAME TOGETHER AND EAT HOT DOGS AND DRINK BEER AND CRACK WISE ABOUT THE EVENTS OF THE DAY. OR MAYBE WE COULD GO SEE THE NEW BATMAN MOVIE WHEN IT COMES OUT AND MAKE FUN OF THE TRAILERS WHILE WEARING 3D GLASSES LIKE PEOPLE DO IN MOVIES. I’M FLEXIBLE. AS LONG AS WE ARE TOGETHER I AM SURE ANY EVENT WOULD BE A DELIGHT. OH GOD I JUST REALIZED I’VE BEEN TYPING THIS WHOLE PARAGRAPH IN CAPS. I’M COMING ACROSS LIKE A CRAZY PERSON, AREN’T I? I’M NOT A STALKER, I SWEAR. I’M JUST A REGULAR, SANE, WELL-ADJUSTED PERSON FROM PENNSYLVANIA WHO WANTS TO BE YOUR FRIEND SO BAD IT PHYSICALLY HURTS MY INSIDES. THAT’S ALL. I’M GOING TO STOP TYPING NOW BECAUSE I THINK THIS MIGHT BE GETTING WEIRD, BUT TO RECAP: YOU, ME, FRIENDS, BASEBALL, 3D GLASSES, DEFINITELY NOT CRAZY. CALL ME.
