Breaking Bad (AMC, Sunday 10 p.m.) — Vince Gilligan has said that episodes five and seven of this season are going to be the real mind blowers. I guess this week (episode four), we’re just going to have to settle for the usual amazing, compelling, thought-provoking drama. *Sigh*
Newsroom (HBO, Sunday 10 p.m.) — I believe in this episode, they’re covering the killing of Osama Bin Laden. I do like that, as Sorkin stated in an interview this week, they’re going to maintain the timeline, keep it a year to a year and a half behind the real-world news cycle, which means that next season can cover both the Aurora shooting and the ridiculous Chick-Fil-A controversy. Also, because we can continue to make jokes about what Sorkin is going to write about in a year and a half with every major headline.
Political Animals (USA Network, Sunday 10 p.m.) — It’s still not a good show, but I have to confess that it’s growing on me a little. The last episode, which saw the President attempt to appoint his Secretary of State on the Supreme Court to keep her from running against him, was well played.
Weeds (Showtime, Sunday 10 p.m.) — Nancy hasn’t had sex or removed a single item of clothing all season long. That’s not good. I’m not saying it’s been a terrible final season so far, I’m just saying that the covers of “Little Boxes” have been the highlight. Seriously, though: Kevin Nealon and Steve Martin’s cover was brilliant.
Comedy Bang! Bang! (IFC, Friday 10 p.m.) — Adam “The Hedgehog” Scott is on tonight, which means that the show has now had 80 percent of the Parks and Rec cast on. Next week, Jerry?
Arizona Cardinals vs. The New Orleans Saints (NFL Network, Sunday 8 p.m.) — I always think I miss football enough to bother with preseason games, but I don’t think I’ve ever managed to watch more than the first quarter before remembering, “Hey, this game doesn’t matter and those people won’t be on the team in three weeks.” It is a nice reminder, however, that real football returns in one month.

Yeah, Nancy hasn’t been naked all season long except for when she went swimming completely butt ass naked and I think she even beaved the camera.
But other than that, no nudity.
“I’m not saying it’s been a terrible final season so far…”
I am, this season has been terrible so far, even if Nancy went naked swimming.
Not Nancy, but credit must also be given for the roller derby coach.
Black Dynamite has kicked ass thus far.
Rididculous Chick-Fil-A controversy? That’s rich coming from a blog that feels compelled to post the “news” about Courtney Stodden’s reality show… Chick-Fil-A actively sponsors and donates to anti-gay causes, and when that came out they alternated between being too chicken (yes, pun intended) to own up to it, and citing freedom of speech for their hate-mongering. This “ridiculous” controversy is part of steps that are being taken in the gay rights movement so that your backwards country can FINALLY get over itself, smother the bigots, and allow people to be miserable together whatever their gender or sexuality, as is the case most European countries.
Yes. Let the hate flow through you.
Football on August 5? What, seriously? What’s the over/under on the body count?
I swear to god, all through the last episode of Falling Skies, right from moment one I was thinking “What if Charleston turned out to be the ‘Human Reservation’ the alien said they would put the humans on?”
Sure enough, there was enough in that preview that made me think it could end up being true – they led themselves into the cage.
Awesome.
