As everyone reading this should know by now, Sunday night brought the demise of yet another Breaking Bad character, the extremely well-liked Mike. With the season finale coming up this Sunday, you have to figure that there’s a high probability a major character will get offed — if not this weekend then almost assuredly in the show’s final season. And since everyone seems to enjoy speculating who’ll be the next to go, I decided to set some Vegas-style odds on each major character’s chances.
Skyler: (5/2) I don’t feel as strongly about the possibility that Skyler will get whacked — something a crapload of Breaking Bad fans have been dying to see happen — as I once did, but her hostility toward Walt, a man not to be f*cked with right now, puts her squarely in the bull’s eye, I think.
Walter Jr., aka “Flynn”: (8/1) Where the hell has he been? Probably smoking his dad’s blue meth and driving recklessly around in that new hot-rod of his, that’s where. I can easily see a deadly accident in the future for ole Flynn, and it’d all trace directly back to Walt, making Skyler hate him even more. Hope heaven has a great breakfast buffet!
Holly: (10/1) People around here have been predicting Holly’s death forever. It has to happen at some point, right?
Marie: (20/1) I’ve heard a lot of chatter of late in which people speculate that Skyler will spill her guts to Marie and then Walt will kill Marie before she can tell Hank. I’m totally fine with this.
Hank: (30/1) I have trouble seeing Hank being killed. I’ve come to believe that the show will end with Walt still right under Hank’s nose the whole time.
Todd: (40/1) Jesse, the only person I could see wanting Todd dead, doesn’t have the will or the motivation to kill Todd, and Walt is madly in love with his eager new lab assistant. Todd lives, perhaps to be the one who eventually takes Walt down.
Jesse: (50/1) He’s the most well-liked character on the show. Can’t see him getting offed.
Walt: (100/1) Walt will die. This I am convinced. But not until the very end. Now say his name!
Saul: (1000/1) You can’t kill a good cockroach, and Saul is a great freakin’ cockroach. Besides, there’s that whole spinoff thing going on.
So who do you think will die next?

I want Gomie to die just on principle. One good moment in 5 seasons
Yeah, how bout Gomie?
Honestly, I totally forgot about Gomie, probably because he annoys the shit out of me.
But he’s got that Latino heat.
With the Skylar birthday bacon tribute at the start of the first episode this season, I can’t see her living much longer.
I’m really hoping Skyler and/or Flynn, but I’m feeling Holly.
Gomie: Death by ‘Franch’ sauce.
I’d watch the fuck outta that!
Glad to see Holly gettin the highest % till now!
A chill wind blows in the direction of Emo McGee, cooling his breakfast omelette…
I think Flynn dies within the first 5min of the next episode. It will completely take the heat off of Walt for Mike
20 votes for Flynn? You should know they never kill full retards.
Skyler offs herself, Hank begins to suspect Walter of being monstrous enough to cause her suicide but doesn’t link him to a criminal element until:
Gomie goes somewhere alone on a hunch, catches or sees Walt and Walt kills him, sending Hank further into a deep depression but renewing his will to catch Heisenberg.
Skylar kills Walt.
He couldn’t be the next to go, since we’ve seen him alive in the future.
Dammit you’re right. Walt kills Skylar.
Skylar takes over the empire and he bought the machine gun to take her down.
If Skylar is still alive by the end of this season, I will be sad. I can’t take another year of her. Even if she’s right, she’s annoying to watch.
If Jesse dies, I might be out. He’s the only one to root for anymore (well, maybe Hank). i love him so much that i wish he was a real person, and if he was, I’m not sure if I’d want to marry him or adopt him.
Is that weird? Yep, that was probably weird.
Walt’s new drug partners will kidnap Todd to put pressure on Walt when Walt fucks with their arrangement maneuvering for more power. Walt will kill Todd in front of them to show them how many fucks he doesn’t care about Todd.
Eventually Jesse uses science bitch to poison Walt.
No one ever suspects science bitch.
Flynn dies; Skyler loses her shit and says too much in front of Hank. Walt goes on the lam. Arizona crew or biker guys are going to kidnap Jesse. That’s why Walt needs the M-60.
I have a feeling that the next death will actually be 9 deaths as Todd’s prison connections get to shanking those that may talk.
Granted, not an important death, as the poll asks, but that would cement Walt’s empire heading into the final 8 episodes.
The 9 deaths via Todd’s connections are a given, but i’m pretty sure there’s going to be a big death at the end or towards the end of the episode, or at least a big revelation like the laundromat guy (can’t ever remember his name) telling Hank about Walt/Jesse before he’s killed.
SPOILER ALERT:
I read an interview that RJ Mitte did and he said the following;
“It is gonna end with an amazing twist and people are just gonna be like ‘what’s gonna happen next?’ It’s like every season. It just tops it. When I get to the script, I try and wait as long as i can before i have to read anyone else’s part because I want to see it on TV. I just can’t wait to see how everything falls into place, especially with the writers. These writers are crazy.”
If he tries to wait to see the other characters parts until he sees it on TV, then he could have just accidentally slipped that the twist involves him? If so, Walt Jr.’s going down.
And by “it”, he was referring to the first half of this season, so episode 8.
Don’t see where you’re going with that..
If Walt Jr. only reads his part and he has seen a big twist coming, ipso facto the twist involves his character.
When he did the Q&A here I asked him how he receives the scripts. If they are full scripts or just the sides for his character and he said he gets the whole thing but doesn’t read anything that doesn’t involve him so as not to be spoiled.
So you may be on to something.
I’m sold now
Doesn’t really say anything. His character is so close to Walt, Skylar, Holly, Hank, Marie.. should one of them die or some crazy twist happen involving them, Walt Jr. would be in scenes reacting to that major moment, and so Mitte would know about it.
Dude, it’s definitely a possibility and that’s all I’m saying. Also, he’s so close to all those characters that he hasn’t been in any episodes recently.
The amazing twist: Hank discovers Walt.
I f’n nailed it. Yet nobody will ever realize. Comments are but dust in the wind.
I realize it. I appreciate you, son.
High five!
High five!
Flynn kills Holly!
Or Holly kills Flynn by tripping his canes with her pudgy, delicious body.
While I don’t think Saul meets his demise this year, I could definitely see it next year. He knows about Lily of the Valley and poisoning Brock. If that information were to make its way to Jesse, he would kill Walt. So at some point, Walt’s gonna have to make Saul dead.
The amazing twist : Crystal Meth
Whatever the twist is, it definitely involves either the ricin/lily of the valley. Judging by Dean Norris’ revelation that there’s a chilling scene involving Holly, i foresee Holly accidentally consuming the Lily of the Valley in the next episode. All hell breaks loose.
What about Lydia?
Or, to elaborate, doesn’t Lydia have a shot at dying too?
Yes, but we’re talking about one of the ‘main’ characters who’s been there for a long duration! Sure, lydia might die too but we’re anticipating someone other than her (and Todd too imo)
I’d like to see Walt hit that, before he dies. Walt needs new pussy in his life.
before she dies. Stringer is having a hard day.
I’ve read so many opinions about Walt Jr getting on meth and overdosing, but I don’t see that at all. That would be way out of character, in my mind. Have we even seen him with weed or anything? Meth is a pretty big jump for a kid with a good head on his shoulders, especially one with not only an incredibly supportive (though fraying) family but also solid friends, like the kid he was running around with when he first coined Flynn. Just doesn’t make sense to me. Now, him crashing in the car Walt gave him would make sense, sever the last real ties Walt has to family/morality, and simultaneously be his fault (to Skyler) and out of his hands (to Walt) – which could lead him into full Keyser Soze territory.
As for me, I wish I hadn’t heard about that Dean Norris slip up. Holly doesn’t seem to have much time left.
I still think Walt is going to survive the series, though whether he will want to or not will be the big question.
He was trying to buy booze and weed in the early seasons.
Next to die Gomie. Next major character to die Holly. Walter White will not fucking die.
Actually she isn’t a major character. And how the fuck Walt will get to kill the kid while she’s with aunt Marie all the time? It’s time for the cunt to die. Skylar White, death by ricin cigarette.
Holly goes full Heisenberg and caps Kaylee for good measure.
Holly and Kaylee have a pillow fight and it fades to black!
I think Walt is going to be indirectly responsible for everyone Skylar cares about dying. The death of Holly will be the final straw of her going to Hank. Walt will then kill Skylar (by choice or accident) and realize that because of the meth game he has destroyed everything he set out to save by getting involved in it to begin with. Then he’ll have an empire, tons of money, but no one to leave it to and then cancer will come back. Skylar saying she is just waiting for the cancer to come back was more than just something she said to hurt Walt. That was definitely foreshadowing.
Can’t be Skyler……..Walt puts the “52″ bacon in the first scene of this season…..he would never mock her….
It’s Lydia
He could be doing the bacon thing nostalgically. “Damn, now I gotta do the bacon thing myself, cuz I killed that annoying harpy.”
I think Jesse going to cook for the Stargate guy, or at least offer to teach him for five million.
I see it’s nearly split between Flynn and Holly. I’m still going with Marie. It would certainly be a way to sidetrack Hank.
Walt makes his own Super-Duper Mega Meth Lab, and Todd being the fuck up that he is blows it up and takes half of Abq out with it.
Well played
I don’t see anymore of the main characters dying until the final 8 episodes. Lydia will need to be killed after she provides Walt with the names of Mike’s crew. She knows way too much.
I also think that one of the inmates will provide Hank with a detailed description of the 2 “cooks” that worked for Fring; Hank will finally start to piece everything together.
For the Hank angle, that might actually work to Walt’s advantage. Old bald white guy with a goatee? Doesn’t that sound eerily familiar to someone who just died?
Car chase at the end of episode 8. Gomie chasing Walt leaving the Vamonos pest HQ, doesn’t know it’s Walt. Through the streets of ABQ….head on collision with Orange Dodge Challenger. (Walt Jr’s car) Walt sees the whole thing happen in rearview and knows it’s Jr. No confirmation of either’s death. Fade to black “Directed by Vince Gilligan”.
Or any of the above. Either way, I think it ends with a hanger.
I could see Skylar either overdosing or committing suicide.
Check out this awesome Coca-Cola/BrBa mashup shirt:

What about Jesse’s little brother overdosing on Meth. We already saw Jesse have to cover for him early on with the weed. By no means a major character, but it could cause Jesse to lose it.
Something’s been bugging me since Sunday night: why did the lawyer go back to the bank?
Mike’s paying off his 9 guys out of his cut, plus the money for Haley. If Hayley gets her full $2M, that only leaves about $45k each for the rest. That 1) doesn’t seem like a enough to rot in jail for, and 2) it could easily fit in the boxes.
Anybody got a theory? Did I miss Lydia or somebody else kicking in for the hush money?
I’m not sure about the numbers. The $45k is for other guys per each batch. If it’s $3 mil. being split 9 ways then that’s over 300k per guy, which he wouldn’t dole out at once since it would encourage the families to spend above their means. Instead it’s a few thousand each time, which requires a slow spread of the cash. It’s not a bad idea, but it was hurt by the lawyer doing all of his business all at one place.
he went back to the bank to make more drops for mike’s 9 guys
You guys are all pretty naive if you don think Jesse has to die before the series ends. it’s the only thing that is guaranteed.
I don’t know that it’s guaranteed that Jesse will die. It depends on how Gilligan decided to set it up in his head:
– Walt goes full evil and kills the one person who has been on his side the whole time (Jesse dies)
– Walt goes full evil and is killed by the one person who has been on his side the whole time (Jesse lives and kills Walt)
It could easily go either way. They both would illustrate how far Walt’s fallen, given that Jesse would not kill Walt simply out of spite or personal gain, but Walt would kill Jesse for either of those reasons.
Just out of curiosity, why does everyone hate Gomie so much? I never seemed to mind him as much as everyone else did. As for Skyler, well, the bitch needs to die.
It doesn’t have to be a cliff hanger I think the good times are going to roll during the season break with the final 8 picking up some months on, with (a still unpaid) Jesse getting a little more irate.
Just as long as it doesn’t have Walt, Skyler, Walt Jr. and Holly sitting in a NJ restaurant with Todd and his crew walking in wearing Members Only jackets, Walt looking up and then fade to black…
Amen
I’m still somewhat convinced that Walt will kill Hank*, which will lead Jesse to realize that Walt’s completely irredeemable and evil and that’ll cause Jesse to kill him.
It’d tie up the Hank chasing Walt story with a conclusive ending, plus it’d show how much things have changed by showing that Walt no longer places the family he started out trying to protect above everything else. It’d also underline the fact that everything that’s gone on over the seasons of the show turned lovable chemistry teacher Walt into a monster and tweaking loser Jesse into a human being with a strong moral code.
That said, there’s a reason I’m not a tv writer and everything that’s happened on the show so far says they will probably come up with something I’d never suspect.
*Skyler would also work in this scenario
I agree with you in that that’s what they’re going to cement on Sunday that his family means nothing any more, that he’s completely gone.
If Flynn dies on Sunday I could see the episode closing with Walt whistling while preparing for a cook as he did when the kid died… Nothing is going to de-rail this train…
Donuts Bitch!
Everybody dies except Jessie & Walt but Walt ends up like Uncle Salamanca ringing his bell
Everyone dies but Walt. The cancer goes away, but he loses his empire. Tired and defeated, he settles down with a woman named Lois. They give birth to Reese, Malcolm and Dewey and he lives out his miserable days reflecting on the life he could have had if not for his hubris.
A lot of the people who watch this show wouldn’t give a shit about Skyler dying. And considering that Walt still somehow has fans after poisoning a child, I doubt people would universally revile his character if he killed Flynn or Holly. But you know which character everyone loves? Saul Goodman. One day that plane crash ribbon will be pink side up. It might as well be a target.
He’s the only one to root for anymore (well, maybe Hank). i love him so much that i wish he was a real person, and if he was, I’m not sure if I’d want to marry him or adopt him.I am beautiful woman and I love good man…..inter racial romance is my dream… so I joined —blackwhitеPlanet.С0M—–it’s where to- connect with beautiful and excellent people! It’d also underline the fact that everything that’s gone on over the seasons of the show turned lovable chemistry teacher Walt into a monster and tweaking loser Jesse into a human being with a strong moral code.
bitches be trollin!
As much as I want to see Flynn grow up to become a meth addict, I can’t imagine it’s too safe for him to get behind the wheel.
I mean, that part of the show isn’t realistic, is it? Does the DMV hand out driver’s licenses to just anyone? Cripples, dwarfs, Asians… Where do we draw the line? Oh yeah, that’s right; drunk cripples, dwarfs and Asians. At least that we can agree on.
