No matter your feelings on Barack Obama’s first term as president, there’s one thing you can’t help but admit: he could have been worse, followed by a shrug, then you go get a nice bagel with a schmear of cream cheese.
On the post-DNC The Daily Show last night, Larry David narrated a short film called Barack Obama: It Could Have Been Worse, which took a look back at what Obama did and didn’t accomplish over the past four years. I mean, sure, he didn’t close Guantanamo Bay, but hey, at least it didn’t get any bigger! David’s new proposed slogan: “Obama, better than cancer.” Now there’s a fact you can’t disagree with.

“Are you better off then you were 4 years ago? Of Course not!”
Yep, that pretty much sums it up for me. I feel duped.
I have to admire the huge set of balls on the Republicans who criticize the President for not getting things done. You didn’t vote for him, you didn’t want those campaign promises kept. With one hand they preach personal responsibility, and the other places the ills of our country solely on President Obama. If you’re not better off than you were 4 years ago, you have no one to blame but yourself.
If you’re not better off than you were 4 years ago, it’s Obama’s fault. If you are better off than you were 4 years ago, YOU MADE THAT!
Democrats had complete control of both houses of congress for Obama’s first two years in office. They did whatever they wanted during that period of time.
Except they didn’t because they continually acquiesced to the Republicans despite having all the power. Somehow the Republicans figured out how to be a bully while being a minority.
“What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone here is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
So Eddie, you agree with Mitch McConnell in that it was Congress’ job to block the policies of Obama and regain the White House. That’s Congress’ job?
If they believe bad policies can only be reversed by replacing the president, yes that is what any opposing party would do.
Not to mention the Repubs tried to thwart him at every turn every time he TRIED to get something done.
I don’t know what internets you browse, but there are apparently plenty of people who would take cancer over more Obama.
The President bought the job lock, stock, and barrell. Did not inherit anything or condition that he did not help him to gain an advantage for changing our country to that of a thrid rated social dependent state of feudalism. None is American…
