It pleases me greatly that 30 Rock returns next week. That is all.
- SNL: That "Replacement Refs" sketch had the misfortune to air the day after a deal had been made between the NFL and the real refs, not that it was a funny premise anyways, but otherwise, the rest of the special was decent. Kenan's Cornel West might be his best work, and Cecily Strong had her breakthrough moment with Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation With. She and Drunk Uncle are gonna...have consensual sex.
- Up All Night: Poor Sean Hayes.
- The Office: Every scene should involve Erin, Creed, Florida Stanley, and Pam and Jim's marital problems. Darryl and Phyllis and Bob Vance sucking face can guest star, occasionally. There was little of value outside of the Roy's wedding part of "Roy's Wedding" (I'm happy they gave him a happy ending), with the Dwight/Nellie stuff being the most painful. It's better than last year so far, yes, but Dwight really needs to go.
- Parks and Recreation: I'm very happy that Ben called out April on her sh*t. I've always liked her as a character, unlike SOME PEOPLE (no, not Matt), but the stunts she pulled in "Soda Tax" felt petty even for her, the "daughter" of the Human Disaster. Otherwise, it was another perfectly enjoyable episode, capped by an always-welcome scene between Ron and Leslie. I wish Paunch Burger was real.
Onto the GIFs.

I’ll consider the final season of The Office a success if Creed continues to get his groove back.
It seems to be on the right track. Shame about the last 3 seasons though.
I really liked the Leslie plot in this week’s Parks and Rec. Seeing Leslie deal with governmental corruption and manipulation was one of my favorite parts of last season, and I hope we see more this season.
There needs to be more meals in the world involving the words “bacon” and “grenade” in unison. Or maybe I’m just really that fat. Either way, great tv night last night.
“SCOOOBBBERRR! NO DOUBT, NO DOUBT!”
all of mean ben’s phrases from last night reaaaally make me want to get into ultimate frisbee. Also, I’m surprised you didnt’ have gifs / pics of April’s drawings. She’s so talented.
I was too busy looking at this GIF. And eating some ‘za, brah.
RIP No-Cal Calzone Zone. (This is also my favorite still from Parks ever.)
The picture of Andy wearing the bandana as underwear was one of the funniest moments for me.
Andy Bandana for halloween? Only if they make 4X bandanas and Salem isn’t particularly chilly/rainy this year.
Why wait for Halloween?
His “Letters to Cleo” t-shirt says everything we need to know about Ben Wyatt, Human Disaster.
I have a couple of reasons that I don’t like April, and I know this is just a TV show, but honestly it really pisses me off that she has just been handed an awesome opportunity and she acts like a stupid spoiled brat. I’ve spent the past year trying to find an internship that will enable me to make a career change, and here she is acting like an intolerable dumb fuck.
Ugh. I need a diary.
SOMEBODY CALL THE WAAAAAHMBULENCE.
(High fives self)(Looks around)(Cries due to loneliness)
It’s ok, America.
but you realize it’s just a tv show and not actually a documentary, right? RIGHT?
…good. just checking.
oh, and can i just use the N word, real quick?
A lot of people bitched about last week’s episode but I thought this week’s ep was kind of weak. For Parks and Rec anyway, it’s still leagues better than most shows, even at its weakest. I really disliked the Office-esque awkwardness of Ben trying to be hip with the interns and the outdated pop cult references. Plus I feel like they’re sacrificing the ensemble for the DC subplots. There was barely any Tom, Donna or Jerry last night, and I feel like they’ve exhausted Chris Trager. Still, minor grievances, I suppose.
Unrelated, what the fuck is up with Will Arnett’s arms? Dude needs to ease up on the gym and the tanning. He’s starting to look grotesque.
That’s funny you said that: I remember reading a blind item about Amy Poehler and Will Arnett before they announced their divorce that said one of the reasons they were breaking up was his vanity.
I agree with DC subplot. I think by putting Ben and April there they felt they needed to flesh it out more but it seems at the expense of the other supporting characters. So far.
Oops. I meant to reply:
YES. I read that too. It’s really a shame on so many levels, because he DOES NOT LOOK GOOD like that. We watched a couple episodes of Arrested Development after P&R and he looks like, so much better with a normal body and skin tone.
Like he’s really going to stay married to Amy Poehler in this $5,000 suit. COME ON!
YES. I read that too. It’s really a shame on so many levels, because he DOES NOT LOOK GOOD like that. We watched a couple episodes of Arrested Development after P&R and he looks like, so much better with a normal body and skin tone.
MOAR RED DRESS ERIN PLEEZE!
Agreed.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the Office so far, here’s hoping it keeps this hot streak up and (deservedly) sends the show out on a high note. And I don’t think I need to say anything about the greatness that is P&R other than Bacon Grenade
Homosexual or Jew actually sounds like a pretty fun game.
Was I the only one that wanted to see Dwight cut off Nellie’s hand?
“ZERO Water” refers to the amount of water in it…If you want water, you need Diet Water Zero Light..that has only 60 calories..
She had such a pretty, punchable face didn’t she.
punchable…no…Pretty…HELL YES!! I’m still searching for the actress..She will shall be the direct causation for my losing my children..
Can’t even type correctly, because I’m so anxious..
The actress is Mary Faber
“It’s roughly the size of a 2-year-old child, if the child were liquefied.”
