Boardwalk Empire (HBO, Sunday 9 p.m.) — If you haven’t yet, check out the 5 Best Reasons to Look Forward to Season Three, as well as Josh’s interview with Boardwalk’s Lucky Luciano, Vincent Piazza. That should be preparation enough for the season three premiere. Also, keep an eye on Richard Harrow.
Weeds (Showtime, Sunday 10 p.m.) — The Series Finale. OH GOD IT’S FINALLY ENDING, although WHERE’S CELIA? It’s been an interminable season, but it was nice to see Conrad back last week. The only thing I’m really interested in with this weekend’s finale is what they’re going to do with “Little Boxes” in the opening credits. Cast sing along?
Boss (Starz, Friday 9 p.m.) — Please tell me I’m not the only one watching this brilliant political drama?
Alabama vs. Arkansas (CBS, Saturday 3:30 p.m.) — This was a much better game before the Razorbacks (holla!) lost their starting QB and Heisman contender, Tyler Wilson, and got upset by a incredibly sh*tty team last week. Looks like Wilson probably won’t play tomorrow, either, so there’s goes the Razorbacks’ season. Damnit. If you’re a ‘Bama fan, congratulations, and bite me.
Doctor Who (BBC America, Saturday 9 p.m.) — One day, maybe soon, I’m going to devote a huge think piece to Doctor Who just to satisfy our small Who contingent here on WG. This week, the 11th Doctor goes from dinosaurs to the Old West, as we count down until the (presumable) death of Amy Pond. What has Moffat got up his sleeve?
Behind the Music (VH1, Sunday 9 p.m.) — How low has VH1′s Behind the Music fallen? Their 15th season premiere is about Train. TRAIN. The only band that Nickelback fans can make fun of.
SNL (NBC, Saturday 11:30 p.m.) — Seth MacFarlane and Frank Ocean are set to open the new season as host and musical guest.

I be watching me up some Boss, boss.
Also, SNL is back live with Seth McFarlene and Frank Ocean.
yep, boss is a boss show. though they could get rid of the sickness angle and i’d like it better.
and thank god, weeds is ending. i’ve been watching it for the last 3 years solely to see how it will end.
W/o the sickness, it’s a very different show. Plus, it lets them keep Ezra Stone around, who was the best part of season one.
I don’t think they’re going to kill Amy. While Moffat’s DW is perhaps a bit darker than before, how many companions have actually been killed on the show, not counting one offs? The last one was K-9, I think.
Alabama vs. Arkansas (CBS, Saturday 3:30 p.m.) — This was a much better game before
the Razorbacks (holla!) lost their starting QB and Heisman contenderBobby Petrino got on a motorcycle.MLP shows her little box or no deal.
More Doctor Who talk would be just fantastic.
I’d also be surprised if Amy dies, though I think some companions have been killed off over the years so it’s certainly possible.
I would be watching Boss if I had Starz. Dish gave us a free year of Starz last year and I watched most of the first season, enjoyed it pretty well. Camelot, not so much. And I never happened to be in the mood to watch Spartacus when it was on.
Well, only because you brought it up, Roll Tide on that ass.
I had no idea Behind the Music still existed.
I don’t think Amy will die, but something horrible will happen to them a la Donna.
Their last episode supposedly coincides with the Weeping Angles (Rule #1 Moffat lies)…go back and watch The 11th hour in season 5 and note the old lady named Mrs. Angelo who seems to recognize the Doctor…but does she recognize him from Amy’s childhood drawings or is it because SHE HERSELF IS AMY, TRANSPORTED BACK IN TIME BY THE ANGELS?? no really…is it?
what the hell are you even talking about.
As happy as I am am to see Weeds finally end, I am going to miss those legs.
Church!
To answer the Dr. Who question, something heart-wrenching to the point that girl Whovians on Tumblr will explode in trauma.
While they still bitch about David Tennant.
I think “Boss” is one of the most underrated shows on tv. Kelsey Grammer is brillant – and that’s something I never thought I’d write.
They’ll probably have the original version of little boxes. I’ll watch just to see how it ends, but I’m glad it’s ending cause it’s been pretty bad for a while now.
This was an epic weekend for TV, and the fall season has only just begun! I can’t believe how many premieres are still yet to come! I’m certainly glad that I have my Hopper DVR’s PrimeTime Anytime feature, which auto-records everything on the major networks during primetime hours, to make sure I can keep up with it all. By the way, you are definitely not the only one watching Boss! My Dish coworker turned me on to it before the end of the last season, and I was hooked immediately!
