June 5, 2011. It’s a day that will live in Internet infamy, for it was on that date that we first saw, to quote Mr. Ufford, “Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs dressed in lingerie and spanking each other in an homage to Bettie Page.” (Until GQ‘s lawyers made everyone take the photos down, only for them to officially reappear on July 14th.) We have since used that image on UPROXX approximately 294 times, and like a monkey wearing sunglasses, it will never not be amazing. That was well over a year ago, yet the shoot is the gift that keeps on giving, in the form of a pin-up special video featuring Alison and Gillian doing “silly things” in their underwear. NO BIGGIE.
It’s from the same shoot, shot by the same director (Mark Seliger), and it’s the same kind of wonderful.
This is what NBC should show instead of new episodes of Community. No one would complain.
