TV GIFs Of The Week (And The Best Of Darryl Philbin)

Mike gave me a list of his top ten Springsteen songs. Three of them were Huey Lewis and the News, one was Tracy Chapman “Fast Car.” And my personal favorite: “Short People.”
It’s easy to forget that Darryl Philbin, the former Warehouse Foreman, current Assistant Regional Manager of Dunder-Mifflin Scranton, as played by Craig Robinson, has been on The Office since season one (his brief first appearance is in episode four, “The Alliance”). He was a minor character at first, but by season two, the writers realized what a comedic force they had in Robinson, and quickly turned “Mittah Rogers” into a fan favorite. With The Office ending soon, Robinson has already booked his next gig, a starring role in a sitcom.

In his first major sale this season, The Office developer/executive producer Greg Daniels has set up a comedy at NBC starring The Office regular Craig Robinson and written by the show’s supervising producer Owen Ellickson. The untitled project centers on a talented musician (Robinson) with rough edges who adjusts to his new life as a music teacher in a big-city middle school, where he encounters teacher politics and the temptations of single moms. The only proper response: FLEECE IT OUT. I’m pretty sure that’s the correct way of saying, “Yay.” Anyway, today’s post is dedicated to all things Darryl Philbin. And one really weird Walking Dead GIF.
