For the sake of clarity: my five favorite "Treehouse of Horror" segments are:
5. "Clown without Pity" (Treehouse of Horror III)
4. "Citizen Kang" (Treehouse of Horror VII)
3. “The Shinning" (Treehouse of Horror V)
2. “Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace" (Treehouse of Horror VI)
1. "Time and Punishment" (Treehouse of Horror V)
Now that that's been settled, let's get to the GIFs. Something something.

I may have given up on The Simpsons years ago, but as long as they keep making Treehouses of Horror, they’ll always get one episode out of me each season.
The Devil and Homer Simpson is the best treehouse of horror segment NO ONE DENIES THIS
Let that donut forever be on your head.
Well, it didn’t top his list, so your pizza is free.
“Its so sad why youve never even seen your own face” -Dr Hibbert with picture frame= classic
Agreed. That is the only slide that made me literally laugh out loud. It’s still one of the funniest moments ever for the series.
I definitely think The Raven may have been one of my favorite Treehouse segments.
The only reason being that I got to watch it in 2 different English classes in middle school.
Treehouse of Horrors VII had to be the best one top to bottom….with the aforementioned Citizen Kang (Abortions for all!), Genesis Tub (“We’ve learned to imatute you exorcly”) and Thing and I (with Hugo).
The Simpsons version of The Raven is also either the best or second-best reading of that poem ever.
Simpsons The Raven is definitely top two. Other reading in top two? Christopher Walken’s reading.
I was in high school when that episode aired. The week after, my English teacher announced that we’d be studying that poem next. She was initially surprised and thrilled at how excited much of the class was about that, but those were quickly replaced with horror and disgust that such excitement was due to something so crass and low as “The Simpsons.” Ah, 1990. Such wonderful onions for our belts back then.
Oh, you mean the SHINING…
Shhh! You want to get sued?
I always assumed this blog took its title from that episode: “Let us all bask in television’s warm glowing warming glow.”
If only there was a way to gif the moment right after that Goof Wife gif, when that clucking song came on all randomly.
Ah, Kat Dennings, you are the answer to what life would be like if Alison Brie played Britta, had more lesbian sexual tension with the other hot girl on the show, had far more crappier writing, the annoying Korean actor was even less funny and you got the most disposable cast member from Season One of SNL to be on your show.On the plus side, Garret Morris is less of an a-hole than Chevy.
That’s not a bad comparison

Here’s Citizen Kang replaced with a Dennis Kucinich speech.
The Citizen Kang episode is the greatest ever.
