It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (ABC) – Wanna have some fun? Next time you’re at a party, wait for everyone to get good and drunk, then walk up to someone and say “You know what I love/hate? The Peanuts holiday specials.” No matter which option you choose you are bound to get a passionate, borderline psychotic reaction. It’s a blast.
30 Rock (NBC) – As we discussed earlier, 30 Rock is airing tonight because NBC bumped The Voice to Thursday after Hurricane Sandy caused the East Coast to miss it earlier in the week, and since it’s 30 Rock’s election episode they couldn’t sit on it until next Thursday. I would go on a rant about this, but I’m pretty sure I personally know all 50 people who are watching 30 Rock this season, so I’ll just text you.
Modern Family/Suburgatory/Nashville (ABC) – What if instead of a show about country singers in Nashville, Nashville was a show about lawyers in Los Angeles? And what if one of the lawyers was a short wiseheimer and the other was a tall ladies’ man? And what if they handled lots of cases about strippers and partying? And what if they had a hot tub? Something to think about.
Chicago Fire (NBC) – Sarah Shahi is joining this show for a 5-6 episode arc as a love interest for Lt. Severide. I bring this to your attention because Sarah Shahi is impossibly attractive. I am great at news.
South Park/Key & Peele (Comedy Central) – South Park takes on the whole Lance Armstrong situation. Good enough for me.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Kimmel is live in Brooklyn with Letterman as his guest, so you should probably watch that; Charles Barkley is on Letterman, so you should watch that, too; Demi Lovato is on Ferguson; Taylor Lautner and Lior Suchard are on Leno; Zach Galifianakis and Gina Gershon are on Fallon; and Chelsea Handler is on Conan.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the last time Dave was a guest on a late night talk show was 1993. He was on Late Night with Conan O’Brien during Conan’s first week.
So AV Club is all <3<3<3<3<3 with Nashville, is it really that good? I mean they also like Vegas and Elementary so I really don't take them too seriously. Suburbagtory is growing on me. Picked up the first season on DVD and I like it so far. Also is it just 30 Rock that's today or is Parks also on today too?
Nashville’s my favorite new show of the season and the only one I probably have to watch that night, not when it’s convenient on DVR. Even the music is good(ish).

My wife watches Nashville and while I’m hardly a good judge of the genre, all the music I hear seems much more alt-country than regular country. Which suits me just fine.
you use “they” like AV Club is similar to Warmingglow where it’s more or less a singular (or 2 or 3) persons opinion. there’s like a dozen contributors there, so just because they found one that enjoys Elementary and is willing to recap it doesn’t mean “The AV Club loves Elementary”
They also like Mike and Molly and Two Broke Girls. If you’re a critic, or someone who holds themselves in any role that’s even close to a tastemaker, and choose to associate yourself with someone who enjoys such dreck then you don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.
If they didn’t feature Country Music I’m pretty sure it’d be weekly bait material.
I think 30 Rock is having one of its best seasons, the ending last week was hilarious.
Your attitude towards 30 Rock is bad and you should feel bad.
I love 30 Rock and I wouldn’t miss it for the world tonight. But it gets ASS for ratings. That was my point.
Sorry. I just saw something negative about 30 Rock and assumed it was Josh or Dustin, who seem to rag on it all the time, and should feel bad. Carry on.
Hey! I never rag on Liz Lemon *period joke*
So are you going to do Ho-tastic recaps of Nashville now?
I’m assuming when you say 30 Rock is coming on at 8 (from the linked article), that’s 8 eastern? Which is 7 my time…and also means it must be preempting a new episode of Animal Practice…not that anyone will notice.
I really feel the hallmark of a quality network is making it so your viewers literally cannot find what time and day the shows they like are airing.
In the same vein, dearest AdultSwim, your cutesy minimalist advertising for your shows is all fine and dandy until it causes me to miss/have no idea regarding the existence of an actual new half-hour of Venture Bros. Then it basically doubles as a personal declaration of war. BONE. PICKED.
Even better, it was listed as Animal Practice on Comcast so my DVR didn’t catch it. Thanks NBC!
I have never even heard of Chicago Fire at all. I’m going to watch every episode Sarah Shahi is in, probably part of ‘em twice. I don’t expect I’ll watch another second of it, but I might b/c obviously whomever is in charge of casting knows their business.
I hope Sarah Shahi’s appearance on Chicago Fire doesn’t mean Fairly Legal isn’t coming back. She’s cute as heck on that, as well.
She’s wasted on that. It had promise, but never came through. She’s cute as hell on anything; Life, The L Word, Fairly Legal. No problem landing a new gig.
You mean all 51 people!
