Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Say the Word,” was a much-needed respite from the heavier, more intense episodes this season, giving us some time to process the events of last week while also setting up future conflicts. We learned more about The Governor and Woodbury, suffered Rick’s emotional setback, witnessed a lot of great zombie kills, and got a very curious phone call. Before we get to it, a quick reminder: Book spoilers belong at the bottom of the page in the book-spoiler thread Maske set up for you. Please don’t spoil it elsewhere; I ran across a major spoiler online this morning, and I’m furious both at finding out, and knowing what is (potentially) coming.
1. Rick’s Gone Zombie Bat-Sh*t Kill Kill Kill — I kind of love this iteration of Rick: He’s channeling Jack Nicholson from The Shining, and honestly, if you’re in that much psychic pain, it’s nice to have a passel of zombies to kill. There’s no better way, really, to work through one’s grief than to take a machete to undead head or cut open the belly of the zombie who filled up on your wife’s carcass.

2. Daryl Goes On a Formula Run — Daryl takes Maggie on a run to find some formula for lil baby Ass Kicker, which does little to advance the plot, but at this point in the season, a little downtime at the prison is well deserved, allowing Rick some time to process. There was also a sad moment in seeing the name of Sofia in a day care, but on the bright side: DINNER.

3. Daryl Officially Sexiest Male AMC Character? — People, PEOPLE: How adorable does Daryl look holding a baby? YOUR MOVE, JON HAMM.

Also, with the fight between Merle and the other guy reminded me a lot of Gladiator.
That was kinda the point.
I think The Governor is channeling his inner Jack Nicholson with his notebook there.
Haha yeah.
If I ever start a country-metal band, I’m calling it “Dixon’s Poncho”.
I’d likely check out a single or two, maybe even buy the album.
The baby needs to go.
Anyone else notice the Sheriff duffel bag in the corner when Michonne was in the Governor’s place getting her katana back? Wonder where he got that from…
I don’t understand all the hate for Michonne either. They haven’t even shown her backstory yet. Some of y’all are impatient as fuck…
Shes the sh*t, people well get on that band wagon soon….
my ovaries exploded when i saw darryl playing the best dad in the world.
I know what I want to see in regards to #3: an AMC sexy-off. Jon Hamm v. Norman Reedus v. Bryan Cranston. Panties will fall.
I do not belive Carol is dead. Maybe she was on the other end of that phone call?
That would make sense. I thought The Ricktator was hallucinating.
Well the preview showed her knife being found. Seems like she might have wandered off. Would make sense for her to be found alive, heck maybe she’ll be the one to find the Gov’s group.
You were right.
Am I the only one who’s finding Michonne completely unlikable? Sure it’s fun seeing her ninja the hell out of some walkers…but she just seems so stupid the rest of the time. What purpose does being blatantly hostile to the crazyperson in charge of a potentially hostile paramilitary village serve? For somebody who claims to be such a survivor, she sure loves putting giant unecessary targets on her back.
You’d be anti-social too if you spent 8 months with Andrea.
I don’t think she’s unlikeable. I do, however, think she’s not willing to just trust the first person who takes her into their stepford-like town during a zombie apocalypse and that seems like a pretty fair hesitation.
I think Michonne has come to fully embrace that the zombipocalypse is the new reality. Whereas everyone else is holding out some glimmer of hope that they will find a way back to the old life. So, from her perspective, this oasis that the Governor has created seems artificial and fake and therefore not to be trusted.
Also, she understands that there is danger on all sides, not only from the zombies but humans as well, and that you have to be on your guard at all times. Honestly, after all these months, how can anyone have a different perspective? To me, she’s the only rational one on the show.
I think the real issue is that the show needs to do a better job of telling us her story instead of having her just walk around with the stink eye all the time.
I absolutely agree that hesitation and distrust would be essential survival traits in that world…as we all know, Michonne is justified in her actions. I just can’t understand why she’s going about things the way she is. If you’re essentially trapped in Woodbury, and you think the leader might be violent and crazy…why would you make your suspicions/dislike/violent tendencies so blatantly obvious? It just comes off as very clumsy and stupid.
Agreed.
I don’t understand everyone’s love affair with Michonne. Maybe she is cooler in the comics, but she is the flattest character on the show. One expression, one emotion, one temperament. I wish they would either develop her or kill her.
She’s badass!
flattest!….what about Dat katana!
I hope when Carol shows back up, she announces that her name is Cheryl now.
Only if Cheryl is Carol’s evil twin and she grows a mustache.
I’m assuming she’ll have an ocelot and be into choking?
I”m scared for Daryl. I think he’s becoming so popular that it may put a huge bullseye on his back… I sure hope not. [nerdsayswhat.wordpress.com]
Is this your site that you keep plugging?
Probably.
It just dawned on me last night where I’ve seen the Governor before; he was the other doctor in the Doctor Who episode called, umm, The Other Doctor.
I get the feeling it’s going to be Carol who’s calling. I think she got away from the walkers and is holed up somewhere. . .
I figure it’s that or Rick has gone batshit crazy, which I haven’t ruled out. Either way, it was a great episode.
I loved the daddy/daughter bonding time and am looking forward to Michonne heading towards the jail (I assume)
In the comics, it actually turns out to be Lori calling him after Carl catches him on the phone one day. Afterwards, he knows he’s literally off his fucking rocker yet he still does it occasionally.
@atr9976 – put the spoilers at the bottom dude…..
Party Foul.
lol i heard they re-wrote it to be the Gov’s scientist instead……..
SOMEONE MAIL THAT GUY A FOOT TO PUT IN HIS MOUTH…*post zombie apocalypse*
Anyone else yell, “RUN, ANDREA, RUN!” when she decided to stay, like a damn bonehead?
Nope. I folded my fingers Mr. Burns style and whispered “Excellent” as the doors closed.
I’m still surprised about Carol. Seems to me it was odd (not to mention disrespectful) that she was killed offscreen.
If she WAS killed. That’s the question
Maybe she quit the show without filming that scene….or maybe she got kidnapped by who ever the hell was watching her give that walker a C-section…
Comic to Tv grey areas:
Andrea (tv) is now Lori (tv)
Maggie (tv) is now Andrea (comic)
Merle (imo) is the one to watch….probably not with good scenes but he is going to be the smoking gun in plot twists, i can feel it in my bones.
She is alive.
AW HELL NAW
AW HELL YEA
AW HEAVEN NAW
Jesus, how many people have to die tonight for Jerry Lawler’s return?
Haha, wrong thread.
I’m guessing everyone at withleather via suicide pact.
I hate Lawler. So long world! *drinks purple cool-aid*
I wanted toddler and baby zombies and all I got was a goddamn possum. What’s the point in having an edgy zombie show if the shit that happens in my head is a dozen times cooler?
Well then, thank you for that insightful response.
I think Lula meant to post in the SOA thread.
Nothing says hardcore biker like internet dating…
Sexting while being murdered by a wheezy Ron Perlman is pretty hardcore.
I was sort of convinced that they would run into a couple child zombies in the day care, but not to be. If I am not mistaken we have only had three child zombies thus far — the one Rick killed in episode 1, Sophia and Penny.
Thoughts:
1) I’m glad that they had the zombie daughter on the episode last night. It was a pretty twisted story line and I was afraid they were just going to skip it on the show.
2) God damn, has Andrea become insufferable. Seriously, what the fuck happened to her character?
3) Berserker Rick is the best Rick.
It’s less twisted with this Governor than the comic one, but nevertheless twisted.
RE Question 2: Andrea has been through hell and was sick when she first entered the town. Given what she knows, I’m sure she’s able to overlook WWEZ if it means hot showers, a safe place to stay and food. Not only that, but, she seems like the frontrunner to win the Governor’s heart. Imagine the power the Governor’s wife will have. Having that kind of power is something that probably is in play here.
From our standpoint, yeah, she’s a total clown. But, you can’t blame her from what she knows.
Andrea has ALWAYS BEEN INSUFFERABLE. How does no one else see this? She’s been a walking bad attitude since season one. The only way Lori dying could have been better is if it was Andrea.
@thatsamare
Andrea is terrible. She is constantly latching onto the men around her while bitching and moaning about wanting to be treated as a strong independent woman. Should she die in the next few episodes it will be her own fault.
@yellowmenace I love your profile pic. I am the guy who made it. Thanks for enjoying my little contribution to the web.
[awesometotallyproductions.blogspot.com]
@thatsamare I get that she’s been through some shit, but wouldn’t that make a person more hardened? I get that she’s always had a shitty attitude and been somewhat annoying, but my problem with her this season is just how mind-blowingly naive and stupid she’s been.
@ejc138 that’s fucking awesome. And, thank you .
Andrea is the new Lori. And, she’s the fucking worst.
The “berserker” scene was great stuff. He was relentless in charging through the walkers and hacking away.
She’s gotta improve.
I don’t get the Michonne love. So far to me she is Tara (True Blood) with a Katana. Other then kill a few captured walkers (shooting fish in a barrel) she showed nothing.
“I don’t trust that guy.”
She doesn’t trust anyone. So going with her gut would be the same crap she does now. Wander and watch Andrea almost die. Andrea is in town a day and she’s already a healthy beauty queen.
The Gavernor killed a bunch of military guys for their weapons. Play DayZ. People kill you for a can of Frank ‘n Beans.
Also Daryl is still the apex predator. Even with Michonne and Crazy Rick.
Also if there is no meme that has
“Hello…”
“Hello, yes this is dog.”
I’ll be sad.
Because she’s awesome in the source material so we’ve all been hoping it would translate. So far really, not so much. To start with, talking’s kind of a big no no with her.
Governor*
Damn I have some shitty spelling at times.
Well Michonne in the book better show up in the show soon because so far she has been pretty much a downer.
Michonne really stood out in the source material, and does in the TV show, as a very out of place character. In a series that’s gritty and full of interesting, realistic characters, she was/is the throwback to stock comic book convention.
“I’m a bad-ass with a sword!”
Great, *that* has never, ever been done before. Except for the few dozen times it already had. One almost thinks that Kirkman seriously considered the idea of equipping her with twin Sai, then decided that Frank Miller might come & kick his ass if he did.
She’s ok, but I’m thinking is being dumbed down. I do agree with her, the town is a facade, but trying to convince someone without proof and sounding paranoid? That’s stupid.
The comparison of Michonne and True Blood Tara is waaay off (granted I havent seen True Blood in a few seasons). Tara has always been a week character who periodically shows a strong side. IO see Michonne as a quiet badass who has yet been given the opportunity to show the limits of her badassness. Unlike every character on this show who talks and talks Michonne takes care of business with as little chit chat as possible.
Even more appropriate.
[i586.photobucket.com]
I completely agree with all of you. I’m wondering why there isn’t more discussion about it actually. Wtf is michonne surprised or even angry at Andrea for. Wasn’t it just 5 episodes ago when michonne found Andrea alone trying to survive? Now the gov literally saved Andrea’s life cuz michonne could only provide the last 2 aspirin on earth which didn’t do shit. In Andrea’s eyes the gov is no different from michonne, saviors.
And I have no beef with the gov at the point. I don’t give a damn bout walkers lives or their zombie civil rights.
The gov collects zombie heads so what. We don’t know that he killed the pilot, he could’ve died naturally with the doctor. His daughter is not the worst thing in the world, Herchel kept his whole damn family in the barn was he a bad guy? It seems like the nerd is trying to reverse the zombies I’m guessing and if he can then he can help his daughter. Also michonne had 2 ZOMBIES OF HER OWN!!
Are u gonna tell me that zombie wrestling is any worse than wwe?
Michonne couldve killed zombies he was running tests on.
In I Am Legend (spoiler alert) Willl Smith is trying to bring back the zombies so its not that crazy given the circumstances. Michonne just walks in plays the angry bitch and kills the zombies, how do u think she would’ve felt if the gov sliced the heads off of her zombies?
If michonne would’ve found the gov daughter she would’ve sliced her head off.
Everybody is Raving about michonne but aside from her knife work I’m not really fuckin wit her like that. And if zombie wrestling makes Andrea want to leave then she can gtf out!!!
I’ll take her new furnished room ASAP I don’t see the gov raping nobody in Woodbury.
And also when Rick and Andrea and the rest of the crew at the farm saved Randall’s life they didn’t just let him leave, so what’s the difference????
U dont achieve something like Woodbury by letting people walk in and out as they please. And if u go out there again what are u looking for exactly? A warm bed and real meal, being able to sleep thru the nite, SHOWER, TIOLET PAPER I mean the man had a cook out/ block party are u kidding me.
How can u hate on that?
He should let Merle leave and get his brother tho that’s really my only problem with the man.
I see where you are coming from but what about how he straight murdered those soldiers? I think you will see just how crazy the governor is in upcoming episodes and will find it harder and harder to relate to the guy……..
You don’t have to side with a character. Michonne IS batshit, it doesn’t mean that she’s a bad character. She may have reason not wanting to be the Governor’s hostage, a man she just don’t trust and may very well be right to (wait for next episodes, you may retract your judgement on him).
Andrea in the show is a let down given what an awesome character she is in the comics, but then again, you’re right, she’s making the right choices. They were indeed keeping Randall prisoner so I think whatever Michonne is feeling about not being able to come and go, she understands why they have to do that, thus letting her guard down and even letting herself feeling something for The Governor (or maybe she’s in need of some serious deep-dicking) which makes all the more nonsensical her “I’m appalled” reaction after Zombie MMA !
But then again it’s not really about judging her, or Michonne. They’re not you. they don’t think like you, behave like you and certainly don’t have the luxury of having time and calm to make the good decisions. It’s about survival and instincts. Andrea needs protection. Michonne doesn’t.
Perhaps if Michone would have explained her reasoning for not trusting the gov instead of just relying on the stink eye to inform others of her disapproval.
Yeah, I think most people are basing their feelings what they have heard from the comics as well as what AMC has put out in press releases about the Governor. His actions havent been over the top crazy, but they build up and foreshadow a tipping of the scales to full blown lunatic at some point.
I agree with jones.
Glad they brought in the phone calls from _____ into the story line. Although rather prematurely. Also it would have been better if they showed the Governors daughter more like in the comic, and also the “death games” more like the comics. Otherwise a good ep, and glad they are kinda on the same track as the comics. But they still have a long way to go to reach the comics epicness
And then…. comics.
Obviously things were going to have to be tweaked for the tv show, but I’m glad they kept those elements there. It would be hard to demonstrate just how psychotic the Governor is without the zombie daughter.
Stone-Cold pSyCh0 Rick and Cool-as-ice Michone are going to make a better, perfect, baby ass-kicker.
Or at least they should. Their sex will make zombies explode in a 2 mile radius at its climax.
Nice to see that Ma Bell will still be on top of things well into the Apocalypse. Maybee they can call out for pizza….
The phone call is actually from Verizon asking Rick if he’s happy with his current phone provider.
“Hello, may I speak with the head of the household please?”
How fucked up is Carol gonna feel when she turns up and no one gave a second thought if she was dead or not.
I can’t believe that no one bothered to look for her last week… “Meh, let’s just make a grave for her. She’s probably dead anyway…”
She should have seen it coming.
If she thinks ‘well they spent months looking for my daughter so surely they’ll do the same for me’ then she deserves to die.
i still don’t get how she went missing since that door looked like it opened onto the yard where Hershel was standing.
Haha yeah. She’s gonna wonder.
Zoinks..
All will be ok Shaggy
Was that episode not awesome last night?! This is all I have to say about that! [nerdsayswhat.wordpress.com]
seriously?
Was I the only one going: “Kiss her, you fool!” when Michonne and Andrea were arguing at the gate? Just me? Okay, I’ll be over here.
No, you weren’t the only one.
Hahaha, me too.
Daryl’s mexican poncho is badass
Poncho sales are gonna go through the roof!
I’m looking forward to the Clint Eastwood/Daryl mash-up cosplay at the next big con.
There could be an entire line of Daryl endorsed goods… crossbows, beaters, and of course ponchos.
Maybe Dixon is a Spanish last name.
given his racist past, I wonder if he killed a mexican before the Apocalypse or if the poncho is a post infestation purchase.
So the Governor hosts Monday Night Zombie Raw?
They really love their wrestling in the South.
It’s still REAL to him, dammit!
Can you imagine how much heat the Undertaker would have with that crowd?
Lmao
awesome. my exact tweet was, “so the governor is basically vince mcmahon”
Apparently those Walkers would be easier to work with than Hulk Hogan if you believe the backstage chatter…
I thought Michonne was gonna get shot as she walked through the gate. I woulda been pissed!
It felt a lot like they were going to shoot her in the back. Which obviously wouldn’t work, this early in her arc, but it would have made the point.
I thought for SURE that the opossum was going to become part of the group.
Comment of the day as far as I am concerned.
It could totally camouflage itself as a dead possum.
Yeah
That zombie arena made me want to see Merle end that guy with a Stone Cold Stunner and follow up with a post match, “If you wanna see Merle kick some ass and drink some beers, give me a ‘Hell Yeah!’”
I also like how the Governor tells Andrea that the zombie fights are rigged when Merle’s opponent starts busting out the capoeira moves.
Carol-Sofia-Lori-Andrea-Little Ass Kicker Grimes has kind of a nice ring to it.
Also, why was Daryl wearing a Mexican Poncho. Seems like something he wouldn’t grab right before the zombie apololypse
maybe he stole it from a hipster that he killed.
we don’t know yet if it’s a real poncho, I mean a Mexican poncho, or if it’s a Sear’s poncho…
Because he’s the Rowdy Yates of The Walking Dead.
Because why the fuck not. Made him even more of a badass.
I definitely thought that Daryl and Maggie were going to run into someone from the Woodbury camp or something. I know they needed the formula, but I thought there would be more purpose behind that trip.
Yeah I figured theyd stumble upon Carol or Michonne out in the woods
At least one fucking zombie.
yeah I was kind of expecting a zombie baby in a crib but nope, just a possum.
Figured I wasn’t the only one who noticed that hand at the daycare. Also, Daryl is still my favorite and he and Michonne WILL have their Wesley Snipes Blade baby one way or another.
I’m intrigued. Hand at the daycare? Tell me more.
Look at the names on the paper hand cutouts when Daryl and Maggie were walking through. Kind of an “aw that’s a bit sad” moment, even if it meant nothing.
Oh the sofia hand. Gotcha. I thought you were referring to a real hand.
Reactions upon watching Darryl hold and feed baby Ass Kicker….
My female roommate: AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Me: That crashing sound your hearing is panties dropping around the world.
I said to Mrs. JfJ “a thousand fangirls’ ships just departed for fuck me bay”.
1. If I ever have a daughter, I am naming her Michonne. 2. Daryl holding a baby made my privates tingle. 3. All I kept thinking last night was that the Governor looks exactly like Bill on True Blood.
Close your eyes and he sounds like Liam Neeson.
Kind of looks like Liam too from certain angles.
Very much agreed on the resemblance to Liam Neeson.
@kushiro
ive thought the same thing
Anyone else think the Woodbury scientist is John Ritter?
@nimby now that would be something.
I’m just saying he is obviously a high-functioning zombie John Ritter.
No matter much I refuse to believe Carol is dead, I mean come on, just open the f’ing door, I wouldn’t be sad to see her go- She was more unnecessary than Daryl’s sleeves. That being said, since they only were shown finding her scarf, what do you think they buried?
They only have 1 of 3 bodies. Glen dug the whole for T-Dog, and the prisoners dug the other two holes. Forcing prisoners to dig holes just to put nothing in them and fill them back up with dirt is cruel and unusual punishment, no?
I’m pretty sure she’s dead, what happened to her happened to Lori. She got devoured. Or at least that’s what they thought when they found the scarf.
Last night was a great episode for Georgia based brewing companies, with cameos from Sweetwater’s Georgia Brown and Hoplanta IPA. Things on Woodbury are looking a lot more promising.
I was wondering if those were real breweries, or maybe an easter egg from the comics.
Screw the hot showers. I would put up with zombie fight club and Governor craziness for some good beer like that. Who am I kidding, I’d put up with that stuff for any beer at that point. Even Big Flats.
My question is….when Daryl and Rick found Carols headscarf on the ground next to that half eaten body….was that T-Doggs body (as in, she lost her head scarf as she ran out the door while T Dogg was being eaten) or was it Carols body and thats how the group knows she is dead??
I think they’re just assuming she’s dead since T-Dog 1 was dead. They didn’t really seem too interested in exploring much further than that either.
They prob think that she was the weaker link in comparison to T Dog… and who’s to say she isn’t?
For what it’s worth, Greg Nicotero (who directed this episode) was on Talking Dead last night and said that Carol is dead. I stick to the “if we didn’t see it happen then it didn’t happen” school of filmmaking, so I would not be surprised to see Carol turn up again.
It did seem unceremonious to not show it. She MUST be alive.
grain of salt. It’s not like he can give away spoilers.
He also said that all they know is what is in the scripts for episodes they direct.
that’s a shitty way to have her go out, plus i think if Carol’s dead they’ve killed off one too many people in a short period of time.
They killed Sophia off screen, why not her mom too?
I don’t think she is dead. The previews for next week have Daryl noticing her knife is in a walker. So at the least… they will still look for her and then find her dead.
that family really has a problem getting lost
let’s just hope they don’t look for her nearly as much as they did sofia.
They would NEVER pass up on an opportunity to film and show a gruesome zombie bite on a human. A gun shot to a mother’s head from her kid son? Sure.
Carol is most definitely alive…and I’m going to guess they run across her and psycho Rick at a pretty similar time.
Paul, that’s not what Nicotero said at all. He said they don’t know, as directors, what the specific plot of the episodes they direct will be before the season. Since Nicotero is basically in charge of running the show on a day to day basis I’m pretty sure he knows what direction they’re going with the season as a whole and would know if Carol is dead.
I didn’t vote for that governor. He’s too weak on zombies.
Ok, so if Carols missing, Loris body got eaten by a walker and T-Dogg was mostly devoured by walkers, what did they put in the three graves? Did they just basically have the inmates dig three graves just to refill them with dirt?? They couldve just stuck three crosses into the ground and had the same effect…..
It was an homage to “Cool Hand Luke”
If you’re in the mood for voting then who would you cast your vote for after last night’s episode? [nerdsayswhat.wordpress.com]
Can one of the admins do something about spideyfan here shoving his fucking blog down our throats please?
I know Id be pissed if he was trying to poach my pageviews.
I definitely like how they have wove in so many important parts of the comics into the show, however, the comics never had Andrea turning into a complete idiot. I cant stand watching the plot points involving the Governor/Andrea romance. Thats terrible. Her character is making mistakes that she will never be able to redeem herself from. Michonne should just split and meet up with Ricks group and leave Andrea to woodbury and the psycho Governor…..
they eluded to Andrea starting to pickup on ‘Woodbury isn’t what they say it is’ towards the zombie MMA fight. I thought Michonne did leave?
yeah she left but im sure she hasnt given up on Andrea……she should though. we all have.
Hell yea… i second that motion… Andrea is complete garbage… like used tissue paper..
If they stay at all similar to the comics, Andrea really has to turn it up a few notches.
for sure!! Andrea was hardcore in the comics but in this season so far she is just garbage!! I just find myself getting so frustarted when she insists on staying at Woodbury. Just listen to Michonne you dumbass!! In the comics she was a vital part of the team and the resident sharpshooter and in the comics shes just an oblivious unwary dumb female who wants to screw every guy who looks at her twice…..very frustrating
@ DrQ – So Andrea is something you ejaculate into and then toss aside? Yeah, that’s about right.
Yeah, her character’s gotta be better written.
Anyone else love how Daryl just glossed right over Carl’s retarded idea of naming the baby after Sofia or any of their other dead friends?
[Carl's idea]
……. [silence]……
Daryl: Let’s pretend that didn’t just happen. What’s up, ASSKICKER.
Everyone else: [cautious smiles]
“Lol those names are STOOPID!!! I’ma call her little asskicker. Anyone got a problem wit’ that?”
Carl just started to redeem himself, so hopefully he keeps his silly comments to himself in the future episodes.
I liked the scene in the sense that Daryl is so badass that I am sure he can even raise a baby better than the rest of the group but I didnt like the fact that they have him talking baby talk to the baby. Dont even imply his character talks baby talk. Hes too hard for that.
Actually, it’s already been established that Daryl’s softer side is what sets him apart from his big brother Merle. It’s why he’s such an awesome “good guy.” That scene fits perfectly in line with what we’ve already seen.
Carl was being idiotic… lets name her after people who are already dead…
way to think outside the box on that one..
I wish the possum had been a zombie.
Not a human zombie, but a possum zombie.
IT’S HUNGRY FOR BRAINS!
[cdn.inquisitr.com]
I wanted it to be a zombie baby. Is that wrong?
This really puts a new spin on the “playing possum” motif.
@Cuneform It’s dead, playing alive!
^
^
no that would have been bad ass.
After I read that the governor would have his daughter scene in this episode, I was super pumped because I thought it would show how truly insane the Governor is.
As I was watching the scene, I realized there was no way in hell they could actually show it the way it went down in the comics. It was a little disappointing, just because the Penny scene on the show made him seem almost sympathetic…
I was worried that after that scene with the heads in the fish tanks that we wouldn’t see The Governor’s daughter and that that was how we were going to see that he’s a bit crazy.
They could show more. Perhaps he introduces Penny and Andrea in a future ep…
How could they not explore Carl shooting his mother in the head right after she gives birth to his sister? They didn’t explore that at all right? He had no mental change what so ever right? Kid is a stone cold killer. I await a Michonne/Carl tag team of vengeance.
Carl didnt choose the thug life, it chose him.
[youtu.be]
What did Rick pick up? Was it the slug from Carl shooting Lori? Am I to believe that the Zombie spit it out like a watermelon seed?
So the kid put a bullet in his moms head and watches his dad freak out and run off. I’m sure in no way will this scar him. Daryl’s the only one who seemed to recognize that he’s F’d.
Maybe Carl will end up like a future Daryl… we can only hope.. esp now that his dad is all emo-ed out…. Maybe Carl has a new role model…
Carl spin-off. Fall 2017
Yeah, they should’ve explored that.
