So, you avoided Black Friday out of fear of being choked, trampled, and/or left behind in a bathroom, if you’re a baby — and you didn’t go to the mall on Saturday or Sunday, either, because you’re a monster who wanted to spend time with your family…YOU ONLY HAVE 28 DAYS LEFT UNTIL CHRISTMAS AND WHY HAVEN’T YOU STARTED SHOPPING YET WHAT KIND OF AMERICAN ARE YOU?
Such is the message of Cyber Monday, which is an overwhelming experience, if only because every company you’ve ever bought anything from online is screaming at you to buy their merchandise, despite the fact that Christmas is still a month away. (There are fewer days until Hanukkah, which begins on November 8th at sundown, but no one cares about us Jews, except us Jews.) To make things easier, here’s a helpful guide to presents any decent friend or relative should love to have: the complete collection of 10 different TV shows on DVD, all under $100.
And if Uncle Ralph doesn’t want all five seasons of The Wire, just remember: he’s a drunk, anyway.

If you have Amazon Prime you can watch the entire run of West Wing or Friday Night Lights streaming for free but I agree that both are worth the investment otherwise.
I only own one complete series. Homicide: Life on the Streets.
I respect that choice.
I have that series too, although when I was younger and watched it on tv I mostly just appreciated it because Max Perlich looks like a cartoon mole.
Luther Mahoney would fuck Prop Joe and company up
much respect.
M*A*S*H? I’m old enough to remember that show. It was terrible. I’m a little disappointed in you Josh. How does AD not make this list?
I will never understand how M*A*S*H is still so popular.
Deadwood is even set to 59.99 for BluRay right now…
Single season buy: Justified on blu ray for $19 on Amazon. Free shipping w prime
Did he really say Gilmore Girls? does it come with a free copy of sisterhood of the traveling pants?
maybe an alexis bledel handjob
If it came with an Alexis Bledel handjob I would empty my life savings buying every one I could. That would give me…..
/checks bank account
One handjob…. dammit
yeah im totally gonna spend 86 bucks on a bunch of gilmore girls dvds and then watch them. its an awesome plan!
My wife loves Gilmore Girls. I don’t hate it, but the dialogue is godawful.
boy, Josh really had to stretch with this list putting crap like Gilmore Girls and Get Smart on there.
gilmore girls is a brilliant show, do not trash until you’ve watched it
i grew up around my mom loving it. i’ve seen enough to feel comfortable calling it crap. i find it hard to believe The O.C. wasn’t available under 100 bucks to take it’s place.
As of a couple days ago, you can score the first two seasons of Happy Endings at Target for $8 a pop.
The Packaging on The Wire and Deadwood’s complete series sucks and fucks up the discs.
Damn where were these deals when I bought the X-Files? But Six Feet Under is definitely worth it
Buy Deadwood, no matter the price. The commentaries with Ian McShane and Timothy Olyphant are perhaps the greatest commentaries ever, especially when they impersonate Dayton Callie and make mouth saxophone noises.
If you post a list of the best DVDs to buy AND show a picture of Idris Elba you have to include “Luther” as a must own series. It’s only 10 episodes but it is one of the greatest dramas of all time.
