Did you know there's a musician out there named Bob Burger? That's not only a wonderful name, but a great opportunity for easy YouTube clicks. Some unassuming Kristen Schaal fan will go looking for a Louise clip, and end up down a rabbit (hat) hole of Bob Burger live videos, like his memorable take on "Vintage Tweed."
Anyway, yesterday Vulture noted that the National have "covered" a gloomy Thanksgiving-themed song that will reappear in this Sunday's episode of UPROXX favorite Bob's Burgers. Somehow the writers topped “School is out/I can shout/Thank you, thank you, thank you” with "Kill, kill, kill, kill the turkey." It continues the show's strong musical pedigree, not only by booking top-notch guest musicians, like the National and St. Vincent, but also through writing original songs that are classic Simpsons-level good. Here are 10 of our favorites.

I see that you used the same GIF of Jimmy Jr. dancing with himself for every slide. I am 100% okay with this.
I’ve been sleeping on this show but I’ve only heard good things about it. I find jokes to be funniest in song format so that’s what drew me into this post. the 3 standouts for me were the oil spill song seeing as how it’s so so close but you can’t grab it, the redhead kid (I assume his name is Jimmy Jr.) and his magnificent interpretive dancing to Taffy Butts, and the candy song. I didn’t know Kristen Schaal was on this show so I have to watch it now ’cause she’s hilarious. also, I’m immature so I enjoy jokes about butts and that seems to be a recurring theme in this show.

does anyone have the clip of Linda singing her Thanksgiving song? Either in the episode, or the ending credits where its accompanied by music?!? I can’t get this song outta my head and I’ve got to hear it!!
Bob’s Burgers might have the best voice cast out there. Archer is a funnier show, but top to bottom the voices on Bob’s are just stellar. From the main cast to the amazing guest voices. Paul F. Tompkins rules so hard it hurts.
The National brings back memories for me, and Bob’s Burgers has been on my TV lineup since its first couple of episodes. I wonder if any of my friends that work with me at DISH know the band. Bob’s Burgers is a great show to wind down the day with, so I’m saving this whole season to my DISH Hopper. It’s nice to have a DVR with a 2TB hard drive to keep me satisfied; I don’t have to pick and choose shows like I have with past DVRs. Cheers to great music and great animation.
