TV GIFs Of The Week (And The Best Of ‘Animaniacs’)

Too many kids shows from the 1990s are now held in high esteem because, irony. For instance, Salute Your Shorts, not a good show. Animaniacs, though, was awesome then, and it's even better now. The zippy Fox Kids-turned-WB animated series that ran for five seasons from 1993-1998 was littered with wonderfully dirty jokes that went over the heads of dumb children, with the best example coming in the form of a pun involving fingering and Prince. Plus, were it not for "Yakko's New World" song, I never would have heard of Azerbaijan.

Animaniacs was produced by Steven Spielberg, who just released a new Oscar-bait film, Lincoln, which is a totally reasonable peg for me to devote today's GIFs of the Week to Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. You'll get yours another time, Slappy Squirrel.
