Anyone worried about Disney ruining the Star Wars brand clearly hasn't seen The Star Wars Holiday Special from 1978, which is exactly what George Lucas hopes; he had little involvement in the catastrophe of a project, and has since made sure that it will never be rebroadcasted again nor made available on home video. Lucky for us, though, the whole blurry thing is on YouTube, so you can watch the splendor of Life Day, Jefferson Starship, Bea Arthur as Ackmena, coked-out Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford's dead soul firsthand.
The special aired on CBS 34 years ago today, so today's GIFs feature is dedicated to all things Wookie. Be sure to listen to "Light the Sky on Fire" while staring at Lumpy.

The gif from Dont trust the B doesnt make sense unless you have the whole bit, which incidentally was the funniest part of the episode. I’ve been waiting to give someone a smackwich since that moment.
The Star Wars Holiday Special is like a bad acid trip gone bad.
This week was all about Charlie Kelly’s church freakout and Daryl Dixon with a baby.
