No, I hate that Warming Glow went from a humor site to a site that primarily features Dustin Rowles’ click-baiting articles about any show that isn’t Breaking Bad. Not to mention they cut Corgi Fridays.
The site has a totally different tone from the one it had a year ago and you can trace most of the change to Dustin, as Josh at least has some semblance of a sense of humor and doesn’t write about every show like he has a giant stick up his ass. If I wanted to read someone doing their best Sepinwall impression, I’d just go to Hitfix.
It must suck to always have a guy with a gun to your head forcing you to read Dustin’s Warmingglow articles. Does he ever get hungry or tired and just walk away for a bit, allowing you the sweet release of not having to read an article?
I’m done with Warming Glow after today. It’s become glaringly apparent that this is not even remotely the same site that it was and the shift in tone and content largely has to do with one person, which is why I’m expressing my frustrations.
They let one writer cover the majority of the shows that I enjoy watching and he has a decidedly negative tone about everything except for Breaking Bad and it poisons the content he writes about other shows. This is not “What’s Dustin Watching” and it definitely is not “Breaking Warm,” so I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to expect more balanced coverage, especially when his style is so drastically different from what Warming Glow was for years.
Again, it seems like much of your animosity is directed towards Breaking Bad, as if there aren’t weekly (positive) recaps of the league and walking dead and game of thrones (when it’s on of course), etc. I wish you good luck in your search for a better tv site.
don’t forget Walking Dead. he ballwashes that too. i generally agreed with deepfriedwhisky but i get as much enjoyment hatereading dustin’s articles as i do reading the other contributors posts

I try and read articles without reading the byline and then guessing whether its Dustin or Josh/Danger.

Also, deepfriedwhisky, you could try and read just the main uproxx.com’s tv coverage as that is mostly Josh, CajunBoy and Maske writing in the tone you’re looking for.
