Before we get to the final two episodes of the fourth season of The League, a quick giveaway announcement: FX has been kind enough to give away the entire season three of The League to the person who participated most in The League discussions this season, and that honor goes Philip Rivers Cuomo. You’ll be receiving those DVDs very soon, and thanks to everyone for their comments all season long.
Now, as for the final two episodes, they were once again two of the better episodes, as the season both began and ended in very strong notes. In fact, it was announced this week that FX had rewarded The League with a fifth season of the series, which will begin its run next fall. Good thing, too, as I’d hate to see the show end with the Shiva in the hands of mysterious Ted.
Shiva’s lifted the jinx, Andre’s fiance is allergic to his semen, Brooklyn Decker’s character is dating Adrian Peterson, and the whole series ends on a beautiful brown note. Let’s get to the quotes.

I laughed, out loud, alone, at 3am, for a solid 5-7 minutes when he looked back at Rafi and he scream-smiled “Merry Christmas!” as he came. It got me.

I damn near lost it during Brian’s Teen Wolf moment and Rafi popped up in the back seat. “Hey Tall Guy.”

the brown note was funny when south park did it 10 years ago.
this season was great until the last 4 back to back episodes. they were all terrible with just a couple chuckles (Taco as Kramus & Rafi being Rafi)
Really just disappointed with the direction the show went. It’s like they started forcing whatever gross thing they could come up with.
I will be curious to see who they get to play this “Ted” character next season
With the exception of Rafi’s appearances, this season was pretty bad. And, it seemed even worse because every episodes of Sunny was amazing this season.
At least it wasn’t all shaky cam like when they went to spring training.
Rafi = Hilarious episode. You think they would have learned this by now.
Rafi has objectively the two best lines of the season and at least three of the top five. I hope he’s around a lot next season (also more Dirty Randy!)
to quote the great Chris Traeger from Parks; I “LITERALLY” laugh out loud cried at the ending with Rafi and the look he gave.

Rafi is hit or miss for me. More misses than hits. But the end of that episode had me in tears.

First off, jerks. The whole season has been on point. Recognize.
Second off, these two episodes were definitely the best of the season. I could listen to Odenkirk make Jew insults for at least an hour and the 2nd episode had so much Raffi that I was in bliss.

Good on The League for ending their season on a high note. It was my least favorite season until that last episode.

I loved the little chat that Odenkirk and Ruxin had about Christmas and the mall music. So funny.
Odenkirk is a genius. I’ve loved him since Mr. Show.
It was great to see him in a comedy role again. So tired of seeing him get the shaft in Breaking Bad.

Ruxin’s exchange with the great Bob Odenkirk and the unleashing of Mr. McKrumpus was amazing, I had tears in my eyes.

Krampus’ reign of terror was amazing. I lost it for a good 5 minutes.
Played really well as a one hour episode. Definitely a strong point to go out on after a so-so middle 3 or 4
The Brown Note was a little derivative of the South Park episode, World Wide Recorder, but a pretty fun couple episodes still!
And damn, Brooklyn Decker and AD do make a pretty hot couple!

I was far more bothered than I should have been that a show set in Chicago used stock footage of the intersection of Geary & Stockton in San Francisco. Also, bonus shame points for the fact that I recognized it so quickly.

I looked online for the Krampus song lyrics last night. I could only catch a few words on the show but what I heard was hilarious.
As soon as Ruxin asked Taco if he had a costume, I knew it had to be Mr. McGibblets.
And it’s the funniest non-Rafi related moment from this season.

Same here. Of course it was going to be Mr. McGibblets. I was not expecting Taco to be wearing a sort of Santa suit over the costume though. That was a pleasant surprise.

It was Rafi’s delivery and Ruxin ordering Kevin to do it.

Once Rafi showed up there was no way these episodes could be bad
Rafi is great, but I think partly he’s so good because he isn’t in every episode. So it feels special when he shows up. You know something bad is going to happen when Rafi’s around. He”s like The Joker in The Dark Knight: this force of chaos that shows up every so often and just steals the show.
Last night was phenomenal. For all the ‘meh’ episodes of this season, these two knocked it out of the park
