This Christmas, if you’re looking for someone to pray to and about, be you Christian, Jew, or Etc., might as well make it Hip-Hop Santa and for Happy Endings, and to a lesser extent, Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23, because this bit of scheduling news could be ABC burning off episodes of one of our favorite funny shows from 2012…
ABC announced on Friday (December 21) that starting on January 6, the four scheduled 666 Park Avenue episodes have been pulled and will be replaced with original episodes of Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23.
Slotting Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23 on Sundays has two purposes for ABC: First, it gives additional exposure to two shows that have struggled in Tuesday nights in a comedy-heavy time period and, who knows, maybe viewers have been craving Sunday 10 p.m. comedy. In addition, both Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the Bitch were dropping off of ABC’s schedule in mid-March for Dancing with the Stars, leaving both shows with a number of original episodes unaired. These Sunday airings mean that Don’t Trust the Bitch will have aired all available new episodes by mid-March, though Happy Endings may still have episodes to air after that. (Via)
…or it could be very good news, if America suddenly decides that they’re sick of shi*tty comedies and want something, y’know, funny, so they start watching Happy Endings and Don’t Trust on Sundays, then follow the shows to Tuesday, and suddenly, barbershops everywhere are flooded with people asking for The Jane and Sinbrad’s Greatest Hits goes multi-platinum. It’s an early January miracle! And who would we have to thank for Happy and Don’t becoming the two most popular shows on TV? Mr. Beelzebub himself.
Even he hates Mike & Molly. HAIL SATAN. HAIL ALEX’S DANCE MOVES.

I do really like Don’t Trust the Bitch; I just hate writing that damn title.
I call it Bitch 23
I call it GCB.
(How many of you hadn’t already forgotten that that was a thing?)
I call it *armpit fart*
Just call it Dawson
Well, at least Homeland, Boardwalk and Breaking Bad aren’t on the air anymore at this slot, and Game of Thrones and Mad Men aren’t returning for a couple months, that could be enough for both shows to gain some audience.
Because seriously, what were we supposed to watch until March? House of Lies and Enlightened? Lol, no!
DO NOT BESMIRCH JEAN-RALPHIO AND KRISTEN BELL.
But yeah, that’s show terrible.
Well, of course, I’ll still watch for them… but we can agree it’s terrible, it’s maybe even douchier than Entourages ever was, which is quite an accomplishment.
No way I’m suffering through a second season of Enlightened though.
Justified.
I didn’t think it was possible for show to be douchier than Entourage.
Also love the Mike & Molly hate in the post. I live in Houston and therefore see many fat couples in my daily routine, so why the hell would you except me to watch a lousy sitcom about just such a thing?
for a show*
Eh, House of Lies has gratuitous nudity, that’s usually enough for me when there’s no football or Game of Thrones or Mad Men or Homeland or Dexter.
I neither except nor eksept your phlegm-riddled expectoration.
Justified and Archer premiere in January! Those might be my two favorite shows on TV.
Is it a possibility that a TBS/Cougar Town type of deal could be worked out for Happy Endings?
Oh man…I’ve been praying that if Happy Endings, P&R, and Community get cancelled that Netflix or TBS or someone will take them. I can’t take anymore of these wonderful shows being shit on while the most terrible dreck has outrageous ratings.
What if all the characters (except Brad) started carrying guns all the time? Would middle America watch then?
BTW, I was re-watching ep 1 of season 2 today and realized this about Dave’s “love to the power of love”
If love * love / love = love^love, then
love = love^love, and
ln(love) = love * ln(love), so
love = 1. Sad.
You may need a whole tumblr for that comment to breathe properly
At least it isn’t -1.
Hope this doesn’t end up as bad as it sounds.
This godless TV block is going to fit in really well right after that whole family oriented crappy Disney fairy tale show.
Sony owns Happy Endings and needs another 20 shows or so after this year to reach syndication, so I’m sure they’ll strike a deal to meet their numbers. Bitch 23 (love that) is DNR, which is a shame. It would go very nicely paired with Cougar Town.
And How I met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men get renewed. Just kill me now.
They just couldn’t give a merciful end to a show I once loved so dearly(HIMYM)
Is The Number 23 Bitches actually worth it? I watched it once for a couple seconds and it looked pretty bad…
It’s like I always say, “there’s nothing like snap, uninformed, biased judgment.”
