Jimmy Fallon And The Roots Adorably Win The Internet Again (And The Morning Links)

I read in an interview with Dave Letterman the other day that he thought that Jimmy Fallon is poised to become the next generation’s leader in late night, saying that while Fallon hasn’t exactly reinvented the late-night talk show format, he’s doing a lot of new, interesting things that is re-energizing the format. It’s true, too: Fallon will try ANYTHING, no matter how badly it fails (like this musical instrument game from the other night, which failed spectacularly, but it also failed in a supremely entertaining way). You can’t really go wrong, however, with performing “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” with The Roots, a lot of adorable kids, and Mariah Carey. It’s the kids that make it, though.
