Every family has their own Christmas movie tradition. Some people watch A Christmas Story for 24 straight hours, others need at least one viewing of It's a Wonderful Time every December. Growing up, this little Jew was only interested in one film: The Muppet Christmas Carol, which despite our NEW YORK RULES PHILLY DROOLS rivalry, is one thing Danger and I agree on. Because The Muppet Christmas Carol is the best. It's got Michael Caine dancing, Michael Caine singing, Statler and Waldorf as ghosts singing a song about killing people, rats working as accountants, skating penguins, "Fozziwig," and Bean Bunny. Poor, poor Bean Bunny.
It's also not a movie, and this is a TV website, but whatever: The Muppet Christmas Carol should air non-stop for an entire week before Christmas on the Disney Channel, with commercial breaks showing nothing but Dog with a Blog promos. That's the best way to make it feel like Christmas.

I 100% agree and I will continue to yell that until everyone knows!!
Filthy lies!
Light the lamp, not the rat, LIGHT THE LAMP, NOT THE RAT!
Thank you! My favorite line from this amazing movie! I was debating between this and Nightmare before Christmas tonight which I haven’t seen as much of…o well. Looks like another viewing of the muppets!
I plan on starring at that Carrie Brownstein GIF until the new year.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen The Muppet Christmas Carol. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is the traditional movie in my family.
Also, if I’m going to watch an adaptation of The Christmas Carol, I’m probably going to watch Scrooged.
What is “It’s a Wonderful Time”? Is that like a sequel to “It’s a Wonderful Life”?
I normally don’t like to harp on silly little typos like that, but this one made me laugh a bit.
Also, I’ve never seen that “Don’t Trust the Bitch…” show, but I have a sudden urge to start watching….
It is actually a pretty enjoyable show.
Yeah, it’s an honest to goodness good sitcom, which means it’ll be canceled soon.

I promised youh mofvah and fafvah that I’d donate to the pooah, and I ‘aven’t!
My favorite version of A Christmas Carol, hands down. It’s completely faithful to the source material and the costumes are exactly perfect for the time period. God damn I love the Muppets this movie in particular. Also, “no cheezes for us mices!”
A blue furry Charles Dickens?!
I love that I’m not alone in this holiday tradition. It’s not a holiday without watching this at least a half a dozen times and of course on Xmas Eve because then there’s only one more sleep till Christmas.
