The X Factor (Fox, 8 p.m.) — Season finale. (You drive me) crazy sometimes for being so outrageous, Britney Spears, but ultimately, I’m a slave 4 u, even if I’m against your toxic music of late and The X Factor always.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FX, 10 p.m.) — Season finale. “Frank and Dennis present their cases to the rest of the gang at Paddy’s.” Only one episode this season has used the bar as its main setting (“Charlie’s Mom Gets Cancer”), so that synopsis is cause for excitement. Then sadness, knowing this is the last time we’ll see Charlie until next fall.
Jersey Shore (MTV, 10 p.m.) — Series finale. The end of a greasy, douchey, spraytanned era.
The League (FX, 10:30 p.m.) — Season finale. In case you hadn’t heard, The League was renewed for season five earlier today, making 2013 instantly better. The prospect of more Rafi Bombs will have that effect. BTW: JEFF GOLDBLUM IN THE RUXIN HOUSE TONIGHT.
Unsupervised (FX, 11:30 p.m.) — Series finale. Last Thursday’s episode that aired after The League and no one paid attention to was about kids bringing guns and knives into school, which, yeesh. Tonight’s is the last of a few leftovers FX had lying around from season one, which is a shame; Unsupervised grew on me, even if it was never nearly as good as, say, Archer. The world could always use more Kristen Bell.
LATE NIGHT GUESTS: Katie Holmes and Bon Jovi on Letterman; Katherine Heigl on Leno; Quentin Tarantino on Ferguson; Billy Crystal and Cee Lo on Fallon; and Paul Rudd, Rita Wilson, and Ben Gibbard on Conan.

Yeah, Unsupervised was pretty funny….although I did always watch it drunk.
The kid with the long hair and glasses never failed to crack me up.
Your Brittney Spears thing made me roll my eyes so hard I think I pulled a muscle.
“Buddy, I don’t know who you are but you’re about to get chlamydia!”
I liked Unsupervised. Sad to see it go.
“Amen and Goddamnit.”
Considering how insufferable she always is in interviews, no, the world could actually use less Kristen Bell.
Unsupervised was an underrated gem. I’m guessing it might get a small cult following in a few years like Clone High or something.
I’m just gonna say it. Charlie is one of the worst characters now. He was brilliant for the first 4 or 5 seasons but now they’ve made him overly retarded and disgusting. The whole “king of the rats” persona and pretty much being someone nobody would ever hang out with. He used to just be the one who wasn’t cool in the gang and was a little bit stupid but only on the same level that Mac is stupid, leaving Dennis and Dee to act as their intellectual superiors. Now Charlie must have an IQ of about 6 and he hangs around in the sewers and worries about being seen in public because he’s like a rat. I still love the show but they’re taking his character too far.
It’s like Homer Simpson. Brilliant character and not the sharpest tool but when the show fell off a bit after season 9 or 10 they just made him practically retarded. And Andy from Parks and Rec. Was a bit of a dumb jock and now he’s dancing around an office begging Ron to let him go trick or treating or dropping a hammer on to a glass case and then looking stupid when it smashes.
It seems like really really easy humour to just make someone incredibly dumb and there’s no subtlety in these three any more which just makes me feel like they’re treating the audience as being more stupid than they are.
Best example of old Charlie is season 2 when he masterminds the plot to get the waitress and get back at the gang in the process and in the end Frank fucks her and he cries. His plan was brilliant but he still ends up being the punchline without having to be all “HURR I LIVE IN THE SEWERS AND EAT SHAMPOO” retarded.
I take it you haven’t seen the “Charlie and Dee Find Love” episode?
OR “Charlie Rules The World” OR “Charlie’s Mom Has Cancer”?
