We had some fun with CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast this year, and rightfully so. It featured Kathy Griffin pretending to perform oral sex on Anderson Cooper, and one of the greatest and strangest verbal exchanges I’ve ever heard. A train wreck all around. But even with all that going for it, it didn’t take home the prize for Craziest 2012 NYE Broadcast. Not. Even. Close. That award goes to an independent local station in Los Angeles called KDOC.
Hosted by Jamie Kennedy and featuring Shannon Elizabeth, one of Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriends holding a cheeseburger, a drug-addled performance by Macy Gray, mass confusion and hysteria, and more partial-boob and foul language than is probably acceptable at your place of employment, it is a disaster on at least five or six levels. I love it like a child.
I know six minutes is, like, an eternity in YouTube watching time, but trust me on this one. You won’t regret it.

That guy definitely looks like a guy named “Stu Stone.”
(*girl texting while being interviewed on TV*)
What’s your New Year’s Resolution?
UM! TO GET RID OF ALL MY HATERS!
America, America, this is youuuuuuuu…
Stu Stone, you have a microphone and there are only 35 people here. Why are you yelling?
It’s nice to know that with all of the financial trouble in this country, at least the FCC’s budget is secure for the foreseeable future.
Jamie Kennedy and Shannon Elizabeth? Perfect.
KDOC was also the station that gave Wally George a show for years. Still can’t believe that wig wearing hump produced Rebecca De Mornay with his demon seed!
Plus it was also the channel to see phone sex commercials. I was 12 and didn’t have cable. Don’t judge.
::puts Macy Gray on his 2013 death pool list::
Also, nice of Shannon Elizabeth to take time out of her busy schedule of doing nothing to be there.
Well she looks like she was in between plastic surgeries so she could fit it in
I’m eating every meal of 2013 at Carl’s Jr. for sponsoring this.
As soon as I saw Bone, Thugs N’ Harmony, I KNEW that Danger would write about this.
that’s when the video peaked. i squealed like a girl
I must have bumped to “Notorious Thug” in my ’88 Civic (factory speakers) about 4000 times in high school.
holy shit, this is the best fucking thing ever….i wish i worked on this clusterfuck (im a cameraman, calm down ladies)…the cut to commercial was awesome and random cuts where fucking awesome. damn this mad my day
made, smh
I’m only 56 seconds into this and it may be the greatest piece of video ever. This is what Eric Andre was TRYING to do.
YES
I’m stunned KDOC got anyone with a name I recognized! We’re talking UHF, back in the day. Channel 56 I think.
*crickets*
UHF. Back when there were only 7 channels there was this other set of channels that… oh… nevermind.
*tries to OD on geritol*
WALLY WALLY WALLY WALLY WALLY – afternoons after school – and that video show that Richard Blade, Poorman and Rodney Binginheimer would host.
Yup. EXACTLY what I watched, before videos became passe. (I want to say… “Video One”?)
YES – Video One! Thanks Homo_.
God I miss my my childhood. And Anaheim.
When did Jamie Kennedy get Gene Simmon’s hair?
and vince neil’s body fat
Check out 4:41. The ghost of Corey Feldman shows up.
I don’t think Stu had any idea how awesomely he burned Jamie at 2:11
Judging from hosts and musical guests, I have to ask: was this taped in 2001?
6 minutes was not long enough. I’ve watched it twice now, and I would watch it a third time as soon as I go get some more delicious Carl’s Jr.’s
Sublime
Damon Lindelof served as an amazing co-host.
It’s also great how Kennedy gets the top producer credit for this. The tiny little cherry on this hilarious turd!
I think this was gorilla marketing for Guy Ferie’s new line of frozen foods
this was just a absolute mess. aka it was awesome
This mess had writers?!
I need more Ana Rosales (2:30.) But only if she shuts up about green energy.
video down…. damn it, I was looking forward to watching this….
KDOC pulled down the video. Dumber than Brenda Dixon….
