Are you an Obama-hater who’s just feelin’ blue today? More angry and sad than normal? Could it be that it has something to do with President Obama being inaugurated for a second term today, a day that also happens to be Martin Luther King Day? Actually, no, that’s not it, according to the authoritative garden gnomes over at Fox And Friends.
“They figured it out about five years ago,” Steve Doocy said this mornng. “It has to do with drab weather, holiday bills, and resolutions that we have not met.”
Oh, yes, so THAT’S IT! Good to know! Very clever, Fox and Friends. Very clever.
Thanks for the tip, Pete.

In fairness, this is the “Fox and Friends” crew. They probably don’t even realize Obama was re-elected, much less that the inauguration is today.
wow what a coincidense you guys. i mean amagine that, a day where two prominent black men are celebrated and praised for their accomplishments and it’s also the day that fox news feels the saddest. hmmmm i just don’t know you guys. YOU GUYS!!!!
I am totally shocked.

Here’s one from Blue Monday on MSNBC from years ago, it’s not a new thing naive children.

@willroyboy: So what you’re saying is, Today has a lot of athleticism.
Can we discuss Larry Winget’s shirt? holy lord it is exquisite.
Ahhh. It’s nice watching an obviously partisan media outfit claim to be fair and balanced. It takes me back to the 1840s, ya’ll.
News outlets do this 3rd Monday of January being the most depressing day of the year story every year. It has nothing to do with Obama. Pull your heads out of your collective assholes. BTW, quit acting like Fox News is the only biased news network. I guess you guys never read the stories about the other news outlets and the shit they spout, like the political director of CBS News saying that Obama should ‘Go for the throat of the GOP’ yeah that sounds un biased.
“Pull your heads out of your collective assholes.”
Easy for you to say, conservatives have tiny heads.
Conservatives think any news outlet not expressly biased towards conservatives is liberal. MSNBC is the shit as Fox News, just a different toilet. Other than that it’s pretty even-handed and biased towards whoever is in power.
“Get smart. Read books. Uhhhhhhh?” -Fox & Friends
Does it qualify as irony that Fox News suggests that their viewers “get smarter”?
Well, it’s not like they could get any dumber.
But I did like the suggestion to stay informed about current events coming from Fox News, the one media site that has been repeatedly shown to make its viewers actually less informed about current events.

You’d think they’d be happy today. It marks another 4 years of great ratings, not to mention all the insane books they will be able to ghost write. I should get that job, the titles just write themselves; “Death Panels for Dummys, Black and Blue, and RED All Over (oh shit that’s a good one. Because black people are usually democrats, from blue states, and communists)”. Get me Ann Coulter and some cocaine, stat.
You cant argue with science, says the network that believes the earth is 4000-5000 yrs old.
Yahoo is showing the same topic in it’s news banner so I guess they’re obviously also anti-Obama and MLK. I fully admit that Foxnews is biased. But this is really not one of those times.
Usually I just kind of ignore it when things get political here because i don’t really care that much but this was one where you were kind of looking for the bias. Which is of course what Fox viewers accuse other networks of doing.
This isn’t a news blog, they make the funny so we can be entertained at work. The coincidence (I agree it’s a coincidence) is funny because FOX hates Obama and MLK and called today “the most depressing day of the year.” And I guarantee that this connection was noticed by some FOX viewers and joked about without a hint of irony – this truly is the most depressing day of the year for most FOX fans.
I’m with Janalee on this one, the irony outweighs the funny, but meh.
Unrelated, I can only hope, one day, a TV executive stumbles across these forums and immediately green lights “Helen Hunt and her Magical Cunt: The Series”.
The irony is funny but it’s probably not on purpose. I assume once it is pointed out to them we’ll see some sort of quick apology. Meh, indeed.
I too would watch that show, Demo.
It would be like the Magic School Bus but we get transported to delightful realms of whimsy by her vag.
I thought they already made the Helen Hunt one as a feature film. It was called The Sessions.
Narrated by Jodie Foster.
The talking heads guarding the inhabitants of Bullsh*t Mountain from rejoining the world of the sane only serve their own warped ideology. Fox News is a propaganda machine which dumbs down America by the day through disinformation and their slanted agendas. See their anchors spewing forth feces from their mouths in my visual homage to the network on my artist’s blog at [dregstudiosart.blogspot.com]
You manage to plug your blogspot in every post. Are you actually writing these or do you have a spambot that autoposts to anything relevant?
What a strange article to read…..Blue Monday has been around for a long time. There are plenty of things to attack Republicans on that make sense….this article just makes you come across as …..well a Republican. They’ve been calling this the most depressing day as long as I can remember……fail article.
There is no way that I’m going to let this asshole to tell ME to get smarter.
