A new trailer for season three of Game of Thrones came out today. There’s no new footage, but the National sing “The Rains of Castamere,” which is a very good, very important song to keep in mind (and one that sounds like it was written and recorded in a damp back alley tavern), and Bran’s three-eyed crow makes an appearance, flying over the Cathedral of Notre-Dame and New York City and what?
I don’t know what you’re trying to pull here, HBO, but I don’t like it. Are you telling us the Game of Thrones universe is the same as our universe, or that crows, CROWS you say, have the ability to transport between the two worlds? What’s next? You’re going to lie to our faces and say that dragons are real? Or maybe shadow demons? Or dwarfs??? As if, HBO.

Totally. HBO is poking us in the stump.
Some of the background the crow was flying over look like the ones for other HBO shows, I might just be projecting, but I know I’ve seen the puddle before as an intro, and I think at least one of the shots was used in the Sopranos opening too.
Maybe that’s what they mean by “our world”.
Wasn’t the crow used heavily in Six Feet Under as well? Because death.

I chuckled, then felt bad about it.
I’m thinking they’re just saying that the world of game of thrones is coming back to your tv sets… or that there’s a zombie apocalypse of white walkers on their way and there will soon be an AMC walking dead crossover. I mean, whatever.
Michelle MacLaren is one of the best tv directors now, very excited (she directed Breaking Bad’s One Minute and Salud).
Nothing confusing here, their world, ie the show, returns to our world, ie tv… No reason to jump into speculation mode.
An important song to keep in mind? We’re all really impressed you read the books but please keep your urge to ruin Season 3 for the TV watchers at bay. You did the same thing last Season when you alluded to the fact that Bran and Rickon weren’t really dead.
And that teaser sucked.
