TV cameras today caught a hardass GOP congressman not associated with cool EVER — Rep. Peter King — snapping a photo of Jay-Z and Beyonce with his cell phone at the Obama inauguration (that’s him on the far right in the pic above). I don’t know if I’ll ever stop laughing at this. Surely he was taking it to show his grand kids or something, but still, it’s funny. Very funny. I tip my cap to you, Peter King. Ain’t no shame in his game.

I love Jay but when you think about it, it’s pretty crazy how prominently he’s been featured in Obama’s presidency. This is the dude who sang Big Pimpin’ and now he has a central role at the presidential inauguration.
That being said – his suit is fabulous and I can see why Peter King wanted to post it on his Pinterest.
To be fair, he’s only the dude who married Beyonce, who has a central role in the presidential inauguration.
I’m sure you’re right that’s the main reason he’s on stage and all that but he was very active in the ’08 and ’12 campaigns and is known as a huge Obama supporter. Along with his role with the Nets, this is part of his own project of developing a more professional image, like Russell Simmons.
I just find his success in reshaping his image very amusing.
Maybe that’s why Peter King loves him — King used to be a shill for the terrorists of the Irish Republican Army, and now he’s trying to act respectable.
