Portlandia (IFC, Friday 9 p.m.) — Third season premiere. I have to admit, I only watched the first half of the first season. I thought the pilot was hilarious, but it felt a lot like an SNL sketch: The same joke told over and over. It’s a pretty decent joke, though.
Blue Bloods (CBS, Friday 9 p.m.) — I wonder who will star in the Friday night show CBS buries on Friday nights for old people 25 years from now? It’ll probably be a time-traveling procedural starring a craggy Joel McHale and Amy Poehler. I’m OK with that.
NFC Wild Card Game: Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens (CBS, Sunday 1 p.m.) — It’s wild card weekend, the best NFL weekend of the year for gamblers. If you’re a huge fan of the Colts, as I am, a win could potentially create a miserable match-up against Colts B: The Denver Broncos. I like to think of the Broncos less as a team from Denver, and more like Peyton Manning simply expanding the Colts franchise into another part of the country. Did 49er fans root for Montana in Kansas City? I just can’t divest myself from Manning. It’s too painful.
Happy Endings/Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23 (ABC, Sunday 10 p.m.) — NEW TIME ALERT. Don’t forget, starting this Sunday, Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B—- are moving to Sunday nights IN ADDITION to the regular Tuesday night time slot. On one hand: Two episodes in a week! On the other, it’s probably just ABC burning through them before putting a bullet in their heads in February. Damnit.
Fox Sunday Animated Line-Up (Fox, Sunday 8-10 p.m.) — Just a reminder, for those of you who watch, the Fox animated sitcoms are set to return after the winter break.
The Biggest Loser (NBC, Sunday 8 p.m.) — Jillian Michaels is back, and I think they’ve brought in kids for the 14th cycle, so don’t forget to point and laugh.

Aren’t the Colts and Ravens in the AFC?
Yes they are, but Dustin is a big Colts fan, so he’s given a pass on not knowing which division his favorite team is playing in.
BRING BACK MATT!
He’s just being ultra Old School, from back when the Baltimore Colts were in the NFL and the AFL was for longhairs and punks like that Namath kid.
Being a fan of Pey Pey explains EVERYTHING.
Honestly, how many of Dustin’s “Whats on tonight/Weekend Preview/Top ten of the year” posts have a “I haven’t seen this but I think I think it’s cool?”
Where did Jillian Michaels go? I’m imagining she was tazed and locked in a cage but that can’t be right.
Oprah is interviewing Letterman Sunday night on the Obscenely Wide Neckties channel.
I personally look forward to Adrian Peterson going ALL DAY on Green Bay’s ass like he did on Gina Gibiatti’s.
Fuck Portlandia. Fuck Fred Armisen. Put it all in a dumpster, chain it tight and give me some kerosene and matches.
Everyone loves it now: it’s pretty much a handful of skits that could’ve been really good but end up being tolerable that is padded with a bunch of crap.
Didn’t like it when it came out, but gave season 2 a shot and now find it moderately amusing. Brownstein is turning out to be the funny one, not that she’s up against much competition.
Downton Abbey is back Sunday! Now where did I put my parasol and matching corset?
You left it by the computer when you finished watching Season 3 via BT like everyone else.
More expert television analysis by Dustin on Portlandia! Great show that only gets better as it goes along.
Dustin, that thing about McHale and Poehler suddenly explains all of CBS. Because I would watch that show to trade on the nostalgia alone, which is what all the old people are doing now.
Is Happy Endings not close enough to 100 to earn any leeway for renewal?
No. It’s not even halfway there.
Ugh…two of my favorite shows are going to get cancelled. Lame. Lame lame lame. Meanwhile Miley Cyrus will join Two and a Half Men and Big Bang Theory gets the highest ratings in sitcom history.
Isn’t the free market great!
Anyone know where I can get series 8 of “Peep Show”? I’ve been out of work since Wed. with a back injury a friend reccommended it and I’ve already finished all available seasons on Netflix.
