If there was ever a night to skip The Walking Dead in order to, say, watch The Academy Awards, last night was it. It was a snoozer, an episode that made very little narrative progress. The engine was running, but the car didn’t go anywhere. There’s too much time between now and the season three finale and not enough to do, so last night was essentially a stall episode, though perhaps it was designed to be as much, since AMC knew that the episode would likely suffer a drop in viewership up against the Oscars.
Each season or half season is designed to take The Walking Dead up to a certain point. The first season brought them to the farm. The last of Darabount’s episodes brought them to Sophie. The second half of the second season got them to the prison, while the first half of the third set up the war between Woodbury and The Prison. The back half of the third season is obviously leading toward a final battle, but with eight episodes to get there (and five more after last night), there’s not enough material to work with to fill those episodes. So, instead of moving the action forward, Glenn Mazarra seems to be moving around the pieces, trying to put them in position for the showdown. What’s kind of sad is that, in the process, the zombies are being ignored.
Here’s a rundown of the episode.
1. The Prison — After the shootout with The Governor and his men, the leadership hierarchy returned to normal at the prison. Rick — who suffered no episodes of crazy last night — resumed his position at the top of the ladder, although his place there is definitely beginning to come into question. In fact, his own son, Carl, took Rick aside and suggested that he step down, get some rest, and allow Hershel and Daryl to take on the leadership roles. Rick did not immediately relinquish his Ricktocracy, but neither did he shoot down the idea.

2. Merle — Merle found himself in an awkward position last night. After saving Rick, he was allowed into the prison, although he was sequestered in a cell for some of the episode, although there seemed to be no rhyme or reason to when he was allowed out and when he was imprisoned. Glenn continued to object to his presence, while Daryl and to a lesser extent, Rick, lobbied to spare him. Merle also offered a half-ass, Merle-esque apology to Michonne. She wasn’t exactly amenable to it, but she didn’t spit in Merle’s face, either. Glenn also suggested that Merle could be used as a bargaining chip with the Governor, although that suggestion seemed to fizzle. Mostly, though, Merle stood around last night and warned the prison gang of the dangers of The Governor, and talked about missing Woodbury’s library.

3. Daryl and Carol — Let the shipping resume.

Rock stomping > Curb Stomping. Take that American History X
Maybe the gov just lays good pipe, and Andrea is a Nympho
I wouldn’t Blame Tyrese and his gang for helping the gov and killing Rick and Co, they kicked them out and left em for dead
Andrea: still the WORST.
This episode was just another reminder why andrea has been so damn annoying this season. The governor is obviously a piece if crap and there is no reason why she should want to stay in woodbury, besides that warm bed michonne was talking about.
So damn annoying!!
Annoying, yes. But, DATASSS!
Another episode that made me want to fart directly into Andrea’a face.
also was impressed by that zombie kill. TO THE FACE!
this wasn’t a bad episode. sure, things were a little slow at first, but andrea’s return to the prison fared a little better than i thought it was going to be. did love the moment when carol was like “you HAVE to meet lil’ asskicker!” (that is what i’m going to call my future child someday.)
p.s. for some reason, i didn’t get my badge for my comment on this discussion. i has a sad.
I coudln’t bring myself to be too upset with this episode. Sure, it wasn’t great, but these were important plot points that we all knew were going to have to be covered at some point. There just isn’t too much action or suspense that can be jammed into Andrea going back to the prison. We knew she was going to go, we knew she was going to get a frosty reception, and we knew it was going to resolve nothing at all. Now that it’s over, we can move on to bigger and better stuff.
Michonne in the trunk of the crown vic would have been great. A little trojan horse-ry. Give her a chance to do some ninja sh*t she’s dying to do.
I didn’t think the episode was end-of-the-world awful, but it was a bit slow, and the singalong at the end just reeked of filler.
Otherwise, they are establishing Milton’s character somewhat. Scared shitless of zombies, and quite willing to do whatever it takes to stay the hell away from them. In this case, that means working for the Governor, but it could just as easily mean working for Rick in the future.
Andrea, as much as she is maligned, is a fairly three-dimensional character. While Michonne, for example, would have no problem cutting the Governor’s head off in a schmaltzy fan-service way, Andrea has feelings for him, and just can’t really bring herself to believe that he’s evil. And her reunion/interrogation at the prison couldn’t have helped matters. Is she really sure that Rick & Co. didn’t shoot first?
Merle is proving to be an interesting character (and I’ve personally always been a fan of the actor, so I’m glad). He reads! He can quote the Bible! He actually kinda sorta apologized to Michonne! I’m hoping they continue to develop him.
Strange how Ghost Lori was just…gone…this episode. It felt like they needed her to push Rick’s buttons and force out Tyrese, and to put Rick in such danger that Merle would save him & be welcomed back, but once that was done…*poof.* Not a complaint, really, just an observation.
Action-wise certainly a letdown after last week, but I think it’s moving along. Slowly, maybe, but still moving.
I’m positive Rick was searching for Ghost Lori when Carl told him to “stop” being the leader. Double meaning in my book.
Andrea’s “feelings” for the Governor are essentially that she wants/needs someone to take care of her. She wants so desperately to be a self-reliant badass, but she doesn’t have the stones. She knows it and she hates that about herself. Everything she does is bullshit bluster, trying to convince herself that she’s not a weak little coward, but she knows it’s true. She gets herself in these positions where men are looking after her then she resents them for it (her self-loathing), look at how she treated Dale.
Curbstomped Zombie FTW.
I was hoping the governor would open his eye,, grab her knife and stab her to death. But instead I saw Andrea do what I thought she would do: put the knife down and have a stupid look on her face
How can Andrea still be ignoring the signs slapping her in the face that the governor is a psycho?? She truly is the worst.
I’m also apt to think the battle happens sooner than later and the story goes somewhere else before the end of the season. Otherwise how can they possibly draw this out four more episodes?
For some reason, it is grating on me that they won’t just fucking call them “zombies”.
I think i heard somewhere that the Walking Dead universe takes place in a world without zombie movies. So the characters have never heard the word “zombie” and don’t know what it is.
A universe without George Romero is a cold, soulless place.
The comic calls them zombies all the time. I kind of prefer the way the TV show doesn’t.
It does help the show to establish its own identity. Plus the “regional” aspect of it…called “walkers” by some, “biters” by others, is a nice touch.
@ Jacktion I thought Kirkman said that originally he was gonna not have anyone call them zombies, but he kept accidentally including the word. Eventually he just said “forget it” and started referring to them as zombies.
So wait…in this “universe”, Haiti doesn’t exist?
THANK YOU. couldn’t they just go the shaun of the dead route and call them “the zed word”? nooooope.
Anyone see the sneak peak during The Talking Dead? Man, the looks Rick and Carl give Michonne could kill! Similar tot he ones everyone gave Andrea.
Um. What?
I guess we are seeing why Glen Mazzara got fired. This second half of the season has been atrocious.
Really don’t like Tyreese and crew ending up with the Governor in Woodbury. Hoping he plays a role in helping Rick down the road when he realizes what’s going on. Also whoever is writing this recap should probably know that the guy’s name is Allan, not Adam. Can’t wait to see him and Ben offed by someone, hopefully Carl.
Dear Andrea:
Kill yourself.
Signed,
Pretty Much Everyone
I’ll put my name down on that petition.
Did anyone really buy that Andrea was going to kill the governor in his sleep? If so, what show have you been watching for the past couple years? Why would they kill off one of the main characters in a character building episode? I haven’t read the comics and have idea what’s going to happen next but that never seemed like a possibility.
Regarding the curb stomping, interesting how some (including me) immediately thought of the Sopranos while others went American History X.
I definitely went American History X
curb stomp=American History X, no question
Merle has military training?
and can read.
I am LOVING the learned redneck character that Merle has become. I mean, it’s a complete change from who he was in season 1 without much explanation, but I like this version a lot better.
So Merle is more welcome than Andrea? WTF!
Merle is way more useful than Andrea.
idk…Andrea could come in handy…ask the Gov.
Merle only worked for the Governor, he didn’t sleep with him.
That we know of.
Heh…handy
*slide whistle
Why did Andrea need a car if the walk to the prison was so damn short?
IDK, I made the comment further down that he should have handcuffed her to Axle’s dead body and let he walk back.
Because it was getting dark?
I’m sure it’s been said below, but it was still better than the Oscars.
who is going to be the first to cap an asthmatic child solider: Carl or Rick?
1) This was the first time this season I felt an episode to be too slow. It’s fine that you want to build things up for a big season finale showdown. But why not give us more character development or some more Zombie deaths. Andrea was clearly held up by zombies at some point as it took her longer to get to Mayburry by car than it did to walk.
2) At the beginning of season 3, all we heard was that the jail was going to be portrayed as a character within the show. Whatever happened to that? Last night would have been perfect for a couple of members to go exploring and find some stuff in another cell block. It’d add some zombie deaths, which wouldn’t be so bad.
3) Rick is worse than Andrea now. He did a season 1 bullshit thing where he freaking gave up finite supplies to someone who didn’t need it as much as the group.
4) Daryl has vouched for Merle and Merle has already said that he’s a dead man walking. Why not use him and Michonne to get rid of that major zombie problem they have on the front lawn? We’re in a zombie apocalypse. Both have already proven they’re worthy assets.
5) I don’t actually blame Andrea for not killing the Governor. She, like the rest of the town have Stockholm Syndrome. And there are many, many women who are in somewhat similar situations in real life that do the exact same thing. So hurray realism.
6) It’s a shame the Governor won’t accept a peace deal with the Jail crew. He’d instantly have a much better army and could start thinking about expanding his territory for more resources.
It kind of feels like the rest of the season until the last 2 episodes are gonna be stalling. It seems dumb to put all their cards on the table so early.
An Andrea-centric episode, ALL I EVER WANTED!
my bucket list is complete…..
naked Andrea silhouette!
Yay,,,?
Andrea, still The Worst.
exactly….. consistency is not great in this case…..
Please, Rick is way worse. And Glen is starting to make a run for The Worst on the show.
Andrea – still not Lori, so not the worst.
Lori was never worse than Andra… never
those dudes with tyreese are straight slimeballs. In a perfect world a bullet will, at some point in the next few episodes, go clean through both of those scumbags and lodge itself squarely in Andrea…..
Hopefully the season ends with 5 survivors left so the writers can focus on those characters and the pacing. There can only be one Jeremy Renner and a ScarJo, and they can take care of the baby while The Avengers are off doing their thing. Right now we’ve got a handful of Sam Jacksons in the prison and in Woodberry. What a bunch of shit.
Didnt see the movie so I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.
That’s a really shitty analogy
Was it here last week, or an official synopsis that said this was just a chess piece moving episode? Either way, yeah, it’s a dull one, but intriguing enough. Was on edge at the idea of tyreese integrating into Woodbury.
Look, The Walking dead is fuckin badass, mkay.. Jordan missed a lot of shots, Ali was knocked out, The Wire had some really bad, bad episodes. Just enjoy the ride, even if the scenery is lame for a few hours. The bitching is at a all time high right now, i have a feeling after next episode, all the haters will be S’n The Walking Deads D again.
*Andrea has fantastic tits, and rock stomped a walker, yes she’s a cunt, but lets pump the brakes on loathing her just a little. My eyes hurt from rolling on every “The Worst” line now.
*The Gov has the magic stick, seriously, that guy must be the Governor of PoundTown…I like a good villain better than hero. Hope he gets crueler.
*CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE WHITE KIDS IN T’S CAMP TO GET ACED
*More katana sword please….that is all
She seems to have a nice ass too.
agreed. My pillow talk the next morning with her would be just that, smothering her with a pillow if she began to get to talky.
Yes…more katana!
A friend of mine posted on fb that he was happy the oscars were on because it stopped people from posting walking dead spoilers. Which got me thinking, is there a single thing I could give as a spoiler for the events of this episode? I vote no.
Overall, it was a decently done episode, but absolutely nothing to advance the story happened.
Pretty much. I just find it funny people are so connected to the hip with social media they can’t watch anything televised without simultaneously being on FB or Twitter.
maybe its the American History X scene…… that was awesome!
Not just child soldiers, but asthmatic child soldiers. And I am pretty sure Milton is a very poor man’s John Ritter.
I went several episodes in thinking it was the same guy from Role Models. Apparently it isn’t.
Kept waiting for him to play “Love Take me Down.”
Milton is playing John Ritter’s gay character from Sling Blade. Only Ritter is manlier.
Thanks for doing the legwork to find a picture that supports my Milton is the long lost cousin once removed of Ritter, Eddie Baby. I would have, but it is my day off, so I work for nobody today.
My first thought.
Yeah, I can see that as well.
No. Thank you. Ever since I first saw Melton, I have been trying to figure out who he reminded me of. He’s almost doing a dead on impersonation of that Sling Blade character. I would really like to know how the actor prepped to play Melton.
@PFTG That is Fool’s Gold and that is NOT for sale.
I thought it was a solid episode. I’m not seeing the problem here at all.
There’s not, people love this show, they like it so much, when it’s a little slow, they feel like they’ve been cheated.
Which is just lazy, when this show is gone..it will be gravely missed, and the bitching will become praising of every episode, even this one.
Too much Andrea is always a problem, but yeah it wasn’t bad either.
Yeah, i thought it was better than last weeks. Andrea sucks but at least she fought some zombies. And I would watch a 2 hour special of just Hershel and Merle talking.
Snoozer?? hardly… you people are the worst
Yeah, I don’t get it. I guess a lot of people here think every episode should be a season-finale episode with a minimum of 30-zombies killed and 2-main characters offed. Anything less and almost every comment has snoozer in it somewhere. That or _____ is the worst.
I won’t post this spoiler here, because it has nothing to do with the comics (which I have little to no knowledge of) and I kind of wish I didn’t stumble upon it this morning. However it is interesting if you are into spoilers. Check out the IMDB page for next weeks episode.
i don’t know what i should be looking for here
Guess that makes sense. Michonne filling in for Abraham, Rick getting a better sense of her and her abilities, I like that news.
aha!
Dammit people I love spoilers.
If you need another hint: It’s in the “Full cast and crew” section. Also it will probably be spoiled in the “Previously, on AMC’s the Walking Dead” right before next weeks episode
Oh. Awesome.
I was wondering when this would happen. Thanks for the tip.
Am I the only one who thinks Carol’s sudden “You gotta bone him then kill him” thing was totally out of left field? I mean it’s nice to see her step up, but it seemed really out of character for her.
Also, they really did miss a great moment to kill Andrea last night. Wussing out on killing the Governor is to be expected and is not a twist, but killing her would have been a great end to her story–as the knight would say, “she chose…poorly”
She’s been contemplating that since her husband was alive.. he did harm Sophia if you remember. its not out the realm of possiblity to assume she would have those thoughts
LOL that was a pretty random thing for her to say, my GF was like “Is she talking about Rick of The Governor?”
Carol has toughen up since she became friends with Daryl. I don’t see what she said as being out of left field at all. And considering who her husband was, I’m going to guess she probably did that more than a few times to avoid getting hit.
Even so, it was just SO random! It was like “yeah lil’ judith really is the cuteset ever…and you should probably screw the governor tonight and then kill him to finally end all this horror”
Betwennher dead husband and the Merle/Darryl dynamic, Carol’s had plenty of time to consider the effect that an abuser can have on his spouse/lover/brother who should know better but cannot stay away.
And that is why Carol is going to kill the Governor.
God damn Andrea. She was NEVER a good character even in season 2. She’s weak. She wanted to kill herself, then shacked up with Shane, then shacked up with the Guv, and probably shacked up with Michonne too.
She may be weak, but that doesn’t mean she’s a bad character–in fact I still think she’s one of the more interesting characters in the show, mainly because she actually makes decisions, and doesn’t spend every episode running around crying and yelling like everyone else does.
yup…she and Michonne had something going on for eight months.
i don’t think it’s the banging dudes that made her unlikable. it’s the outright REFUSAL to take orders or follow direction. season 1 andrea definitely gave off a “I went to college! You can’t talk to me like that” vibe. Season 2 was just as bad…”you can’t hide the guns from me!!” even though she clearly had no clue how to use them.
she SAYS she’s a good shot, but misses more than the makes. This is the end of the god damn world, what she was before all this mess is completely irrelevant. Now let’s all do what the guy who used to be a cop says….
Arrow for an answer.. that is all.. Andrea is by far the worst
All this episode really did was make me miss T-Dog again.
AND they brought back those “We hope you’re DVR’ing this” 10 facts during the commercials.
I’m still wondering what the point of those things are/ does anybody really care?
Turned to the wife at the mention of his name and said, “I really miss T Dog”
The quick fact things are awful.
Token Dog sucked.
When they explained to Andrea that Lori died during child birth, then immediately said “T-Dog died too” I thought that was one hell of a childbirth.
1) Can I just take a moment to say that Carol may have just become my favorite character of the show. A: When Andrea comes back and asks about Shane & Lori, she would have completely neglected T-Dog if not for Carol. B: The moves Carol has on Daryl are amazing, especially since she looks likes shes at least 10 years older (#CougarHunting). C: The moment she became #1, when she just straight up told Andrea to “give him the night of his life” and then kill him, in the most nonchalant way possible, she shot to #1, if there were AP Poll Ratings.
2) Santa (Hershel) appears to finally have gotten sick of nobody listening to him and let Rick have it (some-what). At the moment hel talked about the Rickstocracy, I felt like he was about to have a “House Of Cards” like moment and plot his takeover of power (that show is still clearly fresh on my mind…)
3) Andrea is the most blatant form of blind-badassery ever. She can curb stomp and zombie without hesitation, but somehow completely missed the Shane-Lori-Rick love triangle, doesn’t see what LITERALLY everybody else in Woodberry sees, that war is coming, doesn’t get that Michonne would not have just defected to the other side without a push from the Gov., that everybody would be suspicious of her just walking up, or that the Gov was playing her by letting her back after she left.
4) Like father, like son- It was funny when Andrea attempted to console Carl, and he responded by taking a step back, then Rick did the exact same thing when Andrea mad a move to him.
5) I know it may be calming for Beth to sing and all, but can we cool it on the sing-alongs?
6) Lastly, when Rick said his upcoming mission with Michonne would prove her loyalty, don’t you think that should be established by now? Sure she ran off, but it was to fight the Gov a move everyone would agree with now, she also came back to be with the group, she saved them multiple times, and proved willing to take orders. What more does she need to do?
1) Excellent way of putting it. I agree 100%. Now that Maggie is emotionally scarred Carol seems to be head chick.
2) HErshel def sick of biting his tongue. He was willing to giveRick some time, but that shit is over now.
3) That’s an interesting point especially when you think of the exchange she had with Rick Moranis last night. She asked if he would be ok going back to the governor and he said something like”I can deal with him better than I can them (zombies)”. Andrea seems to be the complete oposite. She’s great with the zombies, but complete shit with the humans.
OMFG Yes! No more singing!
Risk, you bring up a good point : House of Cars is fantastic!
CarDs… goddamn it!
House of Cars would be pretty F-ing fantastic tho…
I’m just here to collect my badge, ’cause this incessant rambling over whether an episode has not enough action and too much stalling (when really it just took its time to do some much needed character development, giving it a slow pace to build Andrea’s pussy-out) is not really interesting. Also Allen is not spelled Adam nor Adan.
/sorry residual bitchiness over the Filmdrunk Oscar Tread…
Your bitchiness is going to continue to carry over as it doesn’t look like there are any badges this week.
Oh this iz bullshit!
/no but seriously, I went directly from Daryl (10) to Michonne (12), and all my badges from last night just don’t seem to have computed with my profile. Explain, uproxx overlords!
Why do you guys care about the badges? What do you do with them?
I sell them.
I wear mine. Like a TV Blog Boy Scout. My mom made me a sash and everything.
Tattoos! I inked the first badge on my taint and I’m working my way up my spine where the final badge will be on the back of my neck!
Maybe I’ll shave my head and put Michonne on my skull like a helmet? That sounds like fine reasoning!
i like putting them up on my wall. and bragging to my husband about how awesome i am.
It wasn’t good, it wasn’t bad, it was just there. Think that’s the best way I can describe that episode.
Andrea is still the worst. TV would be so much more enjoyable without her and Manny.
Carl is still a-ok in my book.
“Nobody cared who I was until I put on the hat”
- Carl
Only 2 things happened in this episode.
1) Andrea continues to be the worst.
2) T-Dog is mentioned more times than he was when he was alive.
I love the T-Dog memories.
Character: “Remember that time T-Dog did that great thing?”
Me: “Nope”
I was waiting for someone to respond “T-Who?”
I swore at one point someone called him “Tay-Dog”.
Tyrese/Tyrone in the comments?
Whats with all the hate for last night’s episode?
People do realize that this show falls under the drama category right? This isn’t Action/Adventure. They have to apply the brakes from time to time otherwise we have a SyFy series with better production values.
I would like to recommend some of you start watching ‘Flashpoint’ on ION.
People used to complain about episodes of The Sopranos in which no one got killed. There’s a lot more to violent TV shows than killing.
“THE SHOW IS TOO SLOW, NOTHING EVER HAPPENS, ITS JUST LIKE SEASON 2 ALL OVER, WHY TO SECONDARY CHARACTERS NEED TO BE FLESHED OUT? WHY CAN’T THE SHOW STAY AT TOP SPEED ALL THE TIME? WHY DOES THE PLOT NEED TO MOVE FORWARD?”
– Every idiot who doesn’t understand the Walking Dead
This show is terrible at the drama. that’s the problem
You’re terrible at the drama! you’re the problem!
Thanks TBone, you’re able to understand all the intricacies and nuances of the show that all us idiots don’t. Do Zombies have a soul? Have the survivors gave up their humanity? Does being dick-notized really make you lose all common sense and critical thinking you once had?
I was waiting and waiting for something, ANYTHING, to happen and when it finally looked like The Governor was gonna get it, Andrea pussies out. So annoying.
And yea right, Merle misses the library. I call BS on that one.
Instant poll: who really thinks Merle can read?
Do Chilton car manuals count?
Is Merle secretly post-apocalyptic Boyd Crowder? Also: Can next seasons Justified be set in post-apocalyptic Kentucky. Or Kentucky as we in the northeast call it.
Im sure the pre-apocalypse KKK had pamphlets from time to time.
@America You are dead on about the comparison to Boyd. And I’d watch that show.
Andrea has officially grabbed the mantle of “the worst.” I was excited they actually let Michonne talk last night though.
She was the title holder a looooooooooooooooong time ago chico
I like how Andrea didn’t deny The Gov as her man, surprised she didn’t twirl her hair crew bubblegum as they were talking about “Philip”.
The most ridiculous thing from last night was Rick giving away the car. They don’t have much food or ammo but they can spare a car?
Yeah, was really hoping Daryl was hiding in the trunk, then sneaks out in the night going HAM on Woodberry…hmmmmmm, i should be a writer, but me grammer no good.
The rules of TV dictate only one strong female lead can be on a series at any given time. This is alot like the one black guy rule that Walking Dead has followed very closely.
Andrea has to be a stereotypical “He’s not perfect but I love him!” female as long as Maggie is only the show.
For the record, may Maggie always be on the show!
Michonne falls in a gray area because she is both female and black. That is why she is not allowed to talk.
Agreed, I think she said one word last night, and everyone know that Michonne says a word and Angle gets its Katana sword.
She did do a nice job of putting Andrea in her place, though. If Andrea still had a tail it would’ve been between her legs when she walked away from that exchange.
i guess you guys didnt watch the show, michonne had a lot of dialogue
Andrea’s dead by the end of the season. I’m calling it now
What show?
Overall it was an ok bridge episode.
Despite giving that zombie a hell of a Kensington head stomp Andrea is still the worst. HEr completely unreasonable expectations of the prison gang showed just how out of touch she is since living in Woodberry. How she thought her “can’t we all just get along ” act would work I have no idea. I mean she literally told Rickj they could come live in Woodberry. Is she fucking mental?
The look Carl gave Andrea when she tried to offer condolences was pretty sweet.
Big takeaway from the night for me…Merle can read…and enjoys it. The scene with him and Hershel was good despite there being only six limbs in the room.
Tyrese and his lady will somehow end up with the prison gang in the end. The girl already had “this seems suspicious” written all over her face when the Governor was talking to them.
Yeah, Carl’s balls descended a little further with that look.
Soon you will be a man my boy.
I think Carl’s balls literally descended, his voice was less chirpy this week, especially in the exchange with BatmanVoiced-Rick
I like this conversation.
Also I kinda hate to love what he did with his stupid hat. He’d have spitted some tobacco and it would have been perfec’.
Did yall notice The Govenor totally eye fucking Tyrese’s lady friend? That might be the “hell naw, we out” moment for them
*ha, eye fucking…he has one eye [high fives self]
Maybe I am weird but I enjoyed last nights episode. Yes it didn’t have a whole lot of action to it but I thought it was a good way to pause for a second and start setting everyone up for the rest of the season.
Agreed. It was a great way to set the table for future events. You gotta know you aren’t getting the actual showdown until the last episode or two.
Expecting high action everyweek is a little unreasonable. I am cyurious aboutthe “Rick’s run” episode we get next week with Carl and Michonne.
Going by the preview it looks like they meet someone(s) on their run. Maybe this will be another group that will help with the coming war.
Black guy and son from SE1 ??? Not the ATeam, but good shots, and they survived on there own, which probably ranks them high on kickass scale
