We’re at least another year away from season four of Louie, so until then, we’ll have to settle for a new hour-long Louis C.K. HBO special. FINE I GUESS. Reports Splitsider:
His latest stand-up special, entitled Louis C.K.: Oh My God, is set to debut on HBO on April 13th at 10pm, the pay-cable network announced. This marks C.K.’s second hour-long special for HBO after 2007′s Shameless.
C.K. said he’ll be releasing Oh My God on his website for [$5] a few months after the HBO premiere. The new hour, which the comedian has been touring around the country the past few months, was recorded at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix. According to the press release from HBO, it features him talking about “the food chain, animals, divorce, strange anecdotes, broken morality, murder, and mortality.” (Via)
And that’s all one bit. The other 55 minutes are just him falling over things.

Classic.

Glad I’ll finally get to see this in its entirety. Went to see him live in Detroit several months ago, and the venue was like, “Oh, don’t bother paying attention to the seat numbers, sit wherever you want because there was an error on the tickets!” We took their advice and then they changed their mind after the show started and got kicked out of our seats about half way through the show (who has third row seats and shows up A HALF HOUR AFTER LOUIS GOES ON?!) That, coupled with dozens upon dozens of other people getting kicked out of their seats, combined with unhelpful ushers and the inability to find my actual seats made the experience memorable for all the wrong reasons.
I’m sorry, any comment that includes a recommendation that I should “live in Detroit” simply cannot be taken seriously.
Oh I never said that anyone should live in Detroit. I said I saw him “live” as in “live from New York, it’s Saturday Night” live.
I know that, I was just taking a cheap potshot at Detroit.
My friend was at this show in Phoenix. He said it was funny. I hope this personal anecdote persuades the rest of you to watch it.
Good enough for me!
Well, I was on the fence, but now I’m in.
I was there too. It was funny.

First hand testimonial: I was at the first Friday show in Phoenix. It was fantastic except for when he had to yell at some motherfucker for talking. Pretty sure that will get edited out and that you will all enjoy what remains.
Lol that was great, although I was hoping he would have insulted him some instead of just telling him to shut the fuck up.
totally, they deserved it.
We saw the tour in St. Louis and it was fantastic. Mrs. Scorpio got me tickets for my birthday because SHE RULES.
Was at the Saturday first Saturday night show in Phoenix and it was fucking fantastic. I saw him a while ago doing the hour that was available in the website….and I would say this show was even better.
If he ends this show with the same bit he did in San Francisco (“Of course, but …”) then it’s well worth the five bucks, just for that. Hands down the best Louie bit I’ve ever heard.
Saw him in SF, too. It was incredible.
“we’ll have to settle for a new hour-long Louis C.K. HBO special”
If this were the consolation prize for more things, I would be quite happy
