Chet Manley was not cut out for kitchen life.
This whole sequence was straight out of a romantic comedy.
Just nailing upper class.
And if only GIFs had audio…

I loved this episode, but just wondering–are they going to pick back up on the Archer and Pam boning plotline? I’m asking…for a friend.
i have a feeling Ron ain’t making it out of this season alive
I THOUGHT Cyril’s name was familiar! Congrats on obtaining immortality, Chet Manley!
Spain got it more then Lana this episode
Excellent, as always. lol
I’m glad I am not the only one that has to use their damned teeth to open those Saltines.
No love for the Bob’s Burger call back?
Love this show!
Sorry I couldn’t come sooner. Phrasing, Boom!
The expression on Bourdain’s face after the last Boom! Bumper! Killed me.
this has got to be my favorite episode this season. bourdain was just the icing on the cake.
also, let’s appreciate the name “randy randerson” for a hot second.
This show made sense for me. But there was no automotive feasting. Thumbs down.
The fish fighting came out of nowhere and it was glorious.
Also, Ron is quickly endearing himself to me. The juice box, crackers, and jelly slayed me.
I will second that. I loved the crackers at the opera.
Unfortunately you know mallory’s gonna have him killed by the end of this season.
Midnight Ron really made the character, glad he’s getting more screen time.
Should you be flaming in here? Boom, bumper.
“He’s just such a biiitch!” -Ray
I was pretty surprised there wasn’t a Trudy Beakman mention considering Mallory did the same thing as in the Excelsior episode. In any case, this was an awesome episode!
I don’t get what Katyas beef is with ISIS. Does she have a reason for personal vendetta besides Barry and her being KGB? This chef assassination was personal and I can’t figure out why. Anyody have any ideas?
Katya was always KGB. The only person she ever liked (and I think still does) is Archer, so she probably wants ISIS to go in the ground and then Archer can go work for her.
Well she absolutely didn’t seem happy about any of that, so she was probably pissed at Barry who likely just set this up because he can’t stop fucking with Archer.
Good episode but way too much Bourdain. He sucked the fun out of every scene he was in
Opposite world was episodes ago
No I have just grown sick of Bourdain’s schtick
I wasn’t too thrilled with the episode overall, but it had some really funny moments that made up for it in the end.
If only all reality television could be as honest as “Bastard Chef.”
Keeping in mind that I have missed many season 1/2 episodes, that was by far the best episode I have ever seen.
If I didn’t hate my job before, these last few weeks of missing out on all the live discussions happening right while I have to be away from my computer is driving the point home.
YES!! It’s not the same thing on the cell because somehow the mobile browser doesn’t let me earn badges.
That, and being on the cell at work becomes an issue sometimes…
Also, yes, joining hours after everyone else had their fun sucks.
Lana badge! Boom!
I too have no opportunity to join in on these discussions until hours later. ‘Tis distressing.
Bite me, I didn’t get a chance to watch until Sunday afternoon
Oh man, I must have laughed about Gilles De Rais for two solid hours last night. And it want even the funniest thing from last nights show. My only complaint though, was no Kreiger.
What, did you forget to put your tampon in?
Really wish we could have a chance of Bourdain coming back, but no chance sadly…
Unless Krieger pulled him out of river or something….
No one dies in Archer and/or cyborgs
Cyborg Bourdain in some sort of sick holy trinity.
So, ABBAB, that’s a pop culture reference from Glengarry Glenn Ross?
Dammit Jim, read down like 3 lines…
Such a great movie with an Oscar-ridden cast. I was in high-end sales and we’d always talk about this when we had Regional meetings. Just boss.
So utterly NSFW: [www.youtube.com]
I never get to immerse myself in the conversations with the Archer-folk. I need to stop inventing vodka cocktails while watching Archer.
I’m still waiting for my wine….
The ABB&B is a reference to Glengarry Glen Ross, where Alec Baldwin’s character “screams” to be ABC, Always Be Closing.
Every week there’s another saying or quip for me to steal. This week it’s “What is this, Spain?” And also “Cockwit.”
alright gang, I’m out. Thanks for stopping by. Next week’s episode will feature the mysterious death of Bilbo, so make sure you set your DVR’s accordingly.
Thank you for stopping by, answering questions, and being really awesome!
While my meatball sub congeals to a giant pile of shit. Thanks Neal!
Thanks for stopping by and a double thanks for all the hard work you guys put into one of the best shows on tv.
But I just made an account so I could ask you questions, Mr. Holman!
@ Mack you should have named your avatar Randy Randerson. Also, yes.
I’m in the same boat. I made an account strictly for these occasions.
Tremendous as always, Neal. Thanks so much!
Thank you for your time.
@Mack You guys should ask Mack Williams questions. He’s internet famous. ish.
@Neal When is the Frisky Dingo crossover?
Malory is Killface.
I was actually thinking Krieger experiment gone wrong, but that does make a lot of sense now that I think about it
Killface is Mallory after a Krieger experiment goes wrong.
Bourdain chasing Ray with the cleaver is gold.
(Any noun) (Any verb) Ray with (any noun) is gold.
Troy and Abed nailed it
@Neal How familiar with Sealab 2021 do i need to be for the upcoming episodes? I heard there was a crossover or spoof or something like that.
Not at all. If you’re familiar with it, you might spot some eastereggs or recognize some one off lines.
Gonna hafta marathon them.
Even if so, you should have said so much so that you should buy every DVD set right now and binge-watch.
Just checked itunes, there 20 bucks a season there.
It’s worth every penny, do it man!
And now I want some Bee-bop cola
I just had this chat with an animator:
I’m in purple, btw.
Cue the many bowls of spiderwebs!
He should just run away….but who would take him in? No one.
/Heroin induced snoring.
That is great.
@Neal What’s the best scene you have completed while being under the influence of Green Russians?
This Uproxx chat.
I knew you were rolling dirty
@Neal, I understand that Bourdain reached out to you guys to be a part of Archer Season 3. Do you find that to be a majority of your guest spots or do you have to seek out the celebrities?
A little bit of both. Bourdain reached out to us, but we reached out to Jon Hamm and Bryan Cranston.
If you ever need a nobody, please reach out to me.
I’m gonna put this here: Gary Busey playing something akin to Tommy Lee Jones’s role in Under Siege.
I’m hoping for more of Archer on an airboat. Or a swamp-buggy. Or an ultra-light amphibious airplane. Seems to be a lot of good jokes in those vehicles. If Archer is ever on a 4wheeler, it needs to be a 1980′s style 3-wheeler. And needs to flip when he turns too sharp – like were notorious for doing! There are just so many more vehicles I need to see on Archer!!! I would like to see Archer wearing those whacky sunglasses like the auto-gyro freak in Mad Max. And a reference to the Sean Connery movie “Outland” – The most under-rated Connery movie EVER!
How’s about a submarine? Is a submarine okay? Let’s go with submarine.
And, okay, fine, also how about a BMW Isetta? Because that’s happening.
That Isetta looks like it could be driven IN the submarine!
@Neal Bourdain and the awesome Burt Reynolds were basically pre-cast. Any times when Adam’s wanted a specific person for a character, but things fell through (If you can speak to such instances)?
There have been a few, but I probably shouldn’t list them here.
We have not asked Tom Hanks. But, if I was given the option, I would try to cast Tom Hanks. Probably as that office drone that’s standing on the street corner in every episode.
d’aww fiddle faddle, I wanted dirt and HOTT GOSS
I just want the internet to start pestering Tom Hanks.
LET’S GET ON THIS, INTERNETS!
If ever The Internet had a purpose, it’s this….
Tom Hanks, but only to reprise his role from either Bosom Buddies or Family Ties
Other than Heart of Archness Part 1 of 3, that might have been the best opening in the history of the show.
Hell that might have been the best opening the history of TV!
I seem to think that every week about this show.
I couldn’t stop laughing at the rolling silverware tray.
Well, if those bowls weren’t so damn slippery….
It was pretty awesome.
This was one of my favorite episodes in a long time
Are saltines really that hard to open or do I have some kind of secret talent I was unaware of?
I don’t think I’ve ever ate a saltine that I haven’t accidentally crushed while trying to open the wrapping.
Just throwing it out there, an episode about Lana and her past. “Citizen Kane.” Also, I know I’m not the only one who has asked this, when will we know what happened to Bilbo? Lastly, I’d like to say this is the one show I will watch within 12 hours of airing. It is a requirement and I will fight someone over it.
@Neal Objectively speaking, whoever voiced the talkshow announcer on Frisky Dingo’s ‘Pimp My Revenue’ episode was incredible and would be a fantastic and highly-inexpensive addition to literally any vo needed for Archer.
If I remember right, that was Dave Roberts, a local VO actor. We use him sporadically, whenever we need a big TV Announcer voice.
@Neal Any chance for a Barry/Other Barry spin-off? Or an Archer/Barry/Other Barry bottle episode? I enjoy Barry is what I’m saying.
Even a Bionic Barry vs. Archer in the Giant robot suit throw down that would be sure to give Krieger a throbbing erection. Also, yes.
He’s around, somewhere, lurking with Other Barry and plotting. Always plotting.
Maybe in the DVD extras they should have a What If thing. Or do a full episode where Krieger puts them all on his breath strips and they imagine “What If” scenarios.
Holy cow, so Gilles de Rais is a for reals child murderer.
Without the all important hyphen.
Adam Reed is addicted to wikipedia.
Also was a really badass Knight before that, no proof here, but Gregor Clegane reminds me of him in GoT, and GRRM has said many times he is inspired by real European medieval history.
And I thank him for that.
This show is best show
GRRM borrows a lot from history. That bit where Khal Drogo pours melted gold onto the blonde kid’s face is straight from Ghengis Khan.
That death was awesome. And oh so satisfying.
@Neal Why did Archer and Pam stop their illicit disgusting affair? Guilt from his dead not-dad or did she literally empty him?
Both? Though I wouldn’t be surprised if it flared up again, from time to time.
Like herpes…so I’m told.
@ Neal. Really loved the way the camera moved differently to show the reality show aspect of it. Little things like that really make this show from great to Piggly-level awesome. Was that more a product of the writing team or the art team.
Thanks! The script had listed the reality show aspect of it, but it was up to the art team to figure out how many cameras would be used, how they would move and when we would eventually drop it. By Act Two, the show is back to its normal camera work.
Just gonna say it, the architect burn hurt
@Neal – are we ever going to finally meet Mallory’s mother(?) “Bub”???
Not just yet, but maybe someday.
How could she possibly be alive? She would have to be what 100?
I’ve got to admit, Seize has to be a pretty crappy restaurant if patrons have to eat tuxedo-smuggled crackers and jelly. What kind of place doesn’t even leave out a complimentary basket of GurpGork?
It was a rough night for service. Management has been notified.
You want a basket of snakes?
No, GurpGork, you know, the kind that eats tourists!
How does one even make a basket of Fridays?
Damn it, not GurpGork, I’m talking about GurpGork!
