Jon Hamm Was His Normal Delightful Self Talking Cricket And 'Mad Men' Secrecy With Jon Stewart

We’re several episodes in to Season 6 of Mad Men and Don Draper has spend most of his time somber or drunk or somberly drunk, so it was all sorts of refreshing when Jon Hamm dropped by The Daily Show set last night to shower America with effervescence.

Jon Stewart splits time playing Mad Men fanboy and Jon Hamm comedy partner, and let’s just say this is a good interview. Hamm’s description of the secrecy surrounding the casting of Linda Cardellini is extra fascinating and also a fun reminder that Matt Weiner is basically insane. Also, bad parenting jokes.

Further highlights include Jon Hamm beginning to film his Indian baseball scouting movie with The Daily Show’s own Aasif Mandvi, Cardinals vs. Mets, and a Jersey joke that isn’t quite as good as Peter Dinklage’s but is still pretty good, because, you know, Jersey.

Now please allow Jon Hamm to brighten your Tuesday morning.

It’s a good thing the man is my spirit guide otherwise I’d have to hate him out of principle.
