Larry David Wrote A New York Times Op-Ed About Terrorism And Moms

I like to imagine Larry David’s life is an endless string of lunch dates at various ethnic delis in Los Angeles, with an occasional break in-between eating the Ted Danson Sandwich and noshing on some pickles to do actual work. That work, apparently, doesn’t include season nine of Curb Your Enthusiasm, at least not yet, but David did write an op-ed for the New York Times that’s about how his mother would defend him against terrorism accusations.

Despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, mother of the Boston bombing suspects, has defiantly proclaimed her sons’ innocence in several interviews. I can think of only one other person who would take such a stance…

REPORTER Thank you, Mrs. David, for talking with us. This must be a very difficult time for you. What are your thoughts on these accusations against your son?

ROSE DAVID Oh, please! Have you ever heard of anything so crazy in your life? My Larry? He sees a spider in the house, he gently puts it in a tissue and takes it outside. That’s a bomber? That’s a pleasure! (Via)

Larry David’s no Amanda Palmer, but he’s got a pretty good future.

Pretty, pretty, pretty good future.
